Got this a couple of weeks ago and here what was wrong:
1) If you turn ps3 on when controller was connected you couldn't disconnect controller.
2) Controls become delayed and slugish when buttery was low. (even though it says fully charged on the screen).
3) Did NOT come with a charger cable.
4) If the controller was connected when i turn the ps3 off it would turn itself back on!
Although i hate leaving bad comments about a product this could not be helped.
So would suggest you avoid like the plague!

Can pretty much say if you bought it from Amazon directly it would be official but if you bought it off marketplace you could have a fake.
1)Not sure what you are saying here.
2)The controls should remain instant and responsive even when low on charge, the LED should flash to indicate low charge.
3)Official controllers do not come with USB cables, you should use the one that came with your PS3 console.
4)The controller will never turn on, on it's own accord, you need to press the PS button. If you shut down your PS3 the controller should also power off completely.
