Boxed retail version comes with Microsoft support. The OEM version has no support. But maybe slightly cheaper.

You have to have either a genuine copy of xp or vista pre installed to perform a succesful clean install , just found this on windows store !! Look under System Requirements, make sense ?

Yes, but the Retail is also transferable between machines and the OEM version is not. I am not worried about support.

Hi
I got this version, clearly retail, no OEM... does it mean I can install it on my laptop as well? I have activated on my pc, and later I installed on my laptop too, but cannot accept the product key. So what now, anybody?

thanks
