To be honest im growing tired of the amount of "US version, doesn't work on DSI" listings from Marketplace and Playtrade sellers. DS games aren't region locked, and Nintendo confirm that all will work on the DSI. So if a DS game won't work on the DSI, its because it's a bootleg and is being blocked by the DSI's improved anti-piracy software.
Amazon and Play shouldn't even be allowing such listings. If im looking in the PAL section, thats exactly what format im looking for, not some "American" version that was probably picked up through the home of piracy, Ebay!
It's getting to the stage now where I just don't feel confident buying DS games online anymore, at least instore I know what i'm getting.
Actually region locking has been introduced for DSI specific software. The original DS did not have region locking. Normal DS cartridges however should work correctly no matter which version of the DS you play on.
I'm aware of that but its not relevant to the point I made. I purposely didn't mention the DSI region locking because I didn't want to confuse the issue.
