im happy 10 mins in sainsbury this morning cost £26.00 ,better than pre ordering and shelling out more money for same game .

You are more likely to get a game on offer because statistically speaking it won't have sold as well as the 360 version ;)

not ture the xbox 360 version is also on the same offer untill close of business tuesday 17th november, i unfortunaitly work for the company so know too well of the prices of this item.

Also I wasn't saying there wasn't an offer on the 360. I was saying the ps3 versions on offer are less likely to have sold out. I think someone here today has already confirmed when they picked up their ps3 version at a store the 360 version was sold out.

Actually they sold out of PS3 version before the 360 version according to their website.

My friend went to Sainsbury's early this morning, and said that the 360 ones were sold out, but they still had the PS3 MW2s.

At work they sold out of the PS3 ones, but still had 360 copies.

EDIT - By work, i mean my local sainsbury's.

i havent been on here much recently but from what your saying hubbard i take it you got a job in sainsburys.well done.I worked there but didnt like it,way too many rules and stupid regulations and lack of common sense. But at the end of the day a jobs a job especially the way things are going at the minute.What department are you working in?

are you sure that your local sainsburys are no longer offering promo price and have jacked-up the price to £45 for mw2?

i got mine from a local tesco, but wanted to pick another one up as a present for a relative. i stopped by a sainsburys on the way home after work yesterday evening, and they had 'sold out' labels stuck on the display rack for both versions by the time i got there. but the salesgirl told me and another customer who was beside me that the in-store £26 promo for both MW2 will last for the next 4 days, until friday the 13th (what - Friday the 13th?!?!!??! - yikes!). she also said they'd be getting many more shipments in from today sometime; so i hope i can pick a copy up before they sell-out again.

unless, not all sainsburys do same promotions?

Got mine from Sainasburys at 8.15 yesterday, bit of a que with chavs in front with their mum (and nanny!!) who ALL bought a copy for both consoles just to sell on.

Played it til 11.15am when my hardened edition came through. Now have two copies of MW2 lol.

No, bought the normal edition as its my brothers birthday soon, so played that until my hard ed came through.

Sainsburys are a joke.
They told me yesterday, they would get another delivery today.
So I turned up at 7am expecting it would have arrived early morning to be on shelves... No.
Then they tell me that they don't know what time the delivery is going to be (how can they not know the time of a delivery??) and also told me that they weren't sure if it would arrive today or not.
I'm sorry but somehow I'm supposed to believe that staff are completely in the dark as to when they will receive deliveries?
Surely there is some rough time schedule or they would be unprepared for it...

Some of the people I know who work in my local tesco say that they know to expect a couple of deliveries daily, which arrive @ typical times on a given day. but they say that although they know roughly when to expect a delivery to arrive, they have no way of knowing exactly what stock/merchandise will be included on any given delivery.

however, i would have thought that as all of this is computerized, that a distribution centre or warehouse would know exactly what is entering/leaving their doors - how else would they keep control of stock and avoid stuff going AWOL?!

Infact I tried another 2 stores and they had sold out too :(

I ended up being a mug and paying the £44.99 in blockbuster,

Albeit through the form of Unchartered 2 and Borderlands, I got £49 for those too aswell.

maybe you could still get copy of mw2 @ sainsburys before this friday, then take the stuff back to blockbuster for refund?

Rang up my local sainsburys just after I posted my rage here and they said they just had the delivery, so wasted some more petrol getting there but managed to swipe a copy for myself and a mate.

Not sure whether to actually open my copy or not though lol
Maybe I'll just leave it in the cellophane and play the game through lovefilm...
That way if I don't like it I could sell it as brand new.
