has anyone recieved this yet and given it a go on the ps3 or 360?

play now has it up and wondering if its worth picking up

I received mine yesterday but havent given it a chance. I only really got it for the co-op and nobody else I knew had received it or was playing it. I'll probably give it a go over the weekend. The reviews havent been full of praise though.

But yeah, I'll let you know if its any good when I get a chance. I should defo play this over the weekend and will give you an update. To be fair I dont think it will be a great seller so you could wait for the price drop which shouldnt be that far off.

I also got my free LBP t-shirt yesterday. Wanted the sackboy but the t-shirt isnt half bad. Something to wear about the house to chill in.

I've just got back from buying my copy. £45! I'm glad I don't buy in-store any more, it'd make my hobby more expensive than it is anyway.

Anywho, didn't realise you had the game yet Mason. I know Chrisw wants to play so if you're up for it we could play tonight? Burty may not get it 'til tomorrow or Monday at the latest so we'll have a four-player co-op then. Good chance to try different characters though!

Chris - I'll load it up and let you know what it's like. Hopefully it's enjoyable.

I may buy this, but I looked at a YouTube vid of gameplay and the fact whatever class was being demonstrated was running like he was carrying a big brown one in his pants, kinda put me off...

mason, i want to get demon souls but i am far to lazy to set up a paypal account and an ebay account. to get it though i might just annoy my sister till she does it for me :)

DA - I only got it because of the co-op. I played the PC demo of it and I wasn't enthralled but everywhere says its a great game to play co-op (and these games usually are) and I do want more co-op games. Getting bored of deathmatches...

I remember watching some videos and just thinking it looked poor, but I will soldier on and hopefully its a good fun co-op experience. I'd suggest getting it so you can play with us. And then you can play Sacred 2.

I might still get it, I'm just weighing how much playtime I'll get out of it as I'm gonna be pretty much skint until I find myself a job now, college finishes in a week so no more scrounging from SAAS.

I noticed you were playing demons souls yesterday timmy. What do you think so far? What class are you because I have plenty of rings and armour that you may find useful that I have no use for.

Treab, technically the game was free as I bought it on giftcards I had that needed spending otherwise I would've got it off t'internet. Nothing lost = nothing gained.

I just had a look at the trophy list, quite good actually. I may buy it, as it seems even if I need to play solo sometimes there's still plenty to keep me occupied, e.g. wear a full suit of special armour.

As a loot whore, that suits me down to the ground. I may go buy it today.

£45 is very expensive! Anyway - -it's a great game so far - maybe a bit generic - but not for the ps3 as it is the first rpg of it's type on there. If you have it on PC then i could see how it is similar to a lot of games, especially sacred 1! The graphics are great, the camera is also pretty good. Some things will be a bit confusing unless you have played sacred 1 such as the combat arts. All in all a great arpg! Looking forward to co-op tonight! we have to make sure we are following the same campaign with our characters cause it won't let light path characters co op with dark path characters (for obvious reasons - you'd be following different stories!) I suggest light path for now!

One thing i'm pleased with is the controls - after decades of point and click rpgs it is nice to see that an arpg of this type works so well without a mouse and keyboard! The face buttons link to 4 actions and by pressing l2 or r2 at the same time you can have quick access to 12 actions - the direction keys give 3 items and 1 divine power quickslots too! Takes some getting used to - but seems to work well. Good news for dragon age origins compatability with console controls if Bioware follow a similar scheme!

i think the best arpg i played was Baldurs gate: Dark alliance 1 and 2 on my ps2 i think it was, that worked without a mouse and keyboard really well and was an awesome game

It is a good enjoyable game. In fact, I agree with everything Burty said. It is a tad generic I guess for a game of its type, but it is the first available on PS3 and so that instantly makes it awesome! And I went off on a tangent on my single player character and it was really enjoyable. Once you learn some more abilities and start picking items up more often it gets pretty fun. I have a feeling bronze mode is a little too easy though.

i agree it is weird ? perhaps it is the special edition (not that i've heard of one!) with a cuddly temple guardian!
