was thinking about starting a wee amazon 360 clan if anyone is up for it?

when i say clan its more like a small grouop of gamers who join each other for the odd game of waw, left4dead, fifa09 and some various other games.

the ps3 boys have one set up and was thinking it would be good if we could do something on our own.

i mostly play waw, left4dead , and gta4 at the moment, like most folk i have my good days and bad days but with waw its mostly bad days :-)

if your interested feel free to post your gamertag and get to know some of the good lads we've got on here.

I reckon it's all about the name guys ;)

Just thought i'd start you guys off on part 3, See you at the end of the month. (When i'll officially start posting on this thread :)

Here is a brief (slash not) introduction to the more regular posters on here, curtesy of our literate and illustrious friend Lill:

List of all the regulars is on the first page, but I thought I'd update you on some of your future party members. These are the qualities that you need to get along with some of them (this is a newly edited version). Despite the fact I have a job interview tomorrow and have yet to create my presentation, the temptation to write on here is too much. It's like injecting crack in your ballsack. Painful at times, but ultimately oh so pleaseing. Anyway those qualities:-
1. Be a complete sociopath who is desperate to be a brother, wears lurid, over-priced clothes (no longer since I did a job on him), wants a pen15-extension Porsche and is incapable of intelligent posts. Capable of writing disgraceful rumour-mongering which is only let down by his inability to spell or fully understand the English language - that's Brummy's for you (Seymour);
2. Have anger management issues, but be a crusader for the 360 in the realms of the PS3 owning masses. Very conservative, therefore averse to change and therefore newcomers. The online version of a farmer protecting their fields from gypsies. (Wayne);
3. Be into necrophilia, although rumours that he likes stiffies as much as Seymour are not to be believed (Zombie-loving Eli);
4. Have a butler. Has a trustfund larger than Neil's ill-gained drug wealth (see below). Can be found online when the Polo season is over or when Whistler has little snow (Max);
5. Be in denial of regularly using game guides, whilst secretly scrawling maps of games all over the bedroom wall. Employs a small Filipino child to boost his gamerscore so he can beat Wayne. Violent tendencies curbed by regular sessions of martial arts but exascerbated by inefficient and unwarranted work meetings (Rich);
6. Be more alcohol dependent than Katona. (Bally, amonsgt many) Also be able to rattle out a classy phrase - eg 'Give her a face like a painter's radio';
7. Be ridiculously good-looking, funny, charming and able to compete in any MP game whilst juggling a baby. Also to be highly irresponsible and be Dan Dare to Seymour's Mekon(Lill);
8. Constantly cracking onto a Septic whilst offering her his old game collection. Chooses not to work, following illicit fortune generated through importing and exporting goods to and from Columbia to the glorious seaport of Liverpool. Loves making flat pack furniture (Neil);
9. Have a wife who rations your gaming based on how many painful trips you have endured on a Saturday to Ikea (Colin, amongst others);
10. Be lured away from the dark-side (Ps3-ville) and loving every minute of it. (Dolph);
11. Have occasional narcolepsy whilst playing games. Also an addiction to buying overpriced Special Edition games. Even if he didn't want the game in the first place (Craig);
12. Have an ability to stretch your tea out to 4 hours and an ability to apologise profusely, before asking who's going to be on tomorrow. (Komikbookhero);
13. Have a love of poor films and want to be Superman's b1tch, whilst also describing in detail how he plans to kill the guy he shares an office with (JarJar);
14. Have a closer relationship with their computer than Stephen Hawkins. Likes to keep MP 360 gaming in the family. (Ajbunga);
15. Be reasonably balanced and normal (Mikalos).

This thread will only be home when Bally comes in tomorrow morning and posts 'Morning lads'.

I actually feel like a bit of a b!tch now :(

I just noticed AMMY had been posting since 8:00 on the Part 2 thread.

In reply to an earlier post on 3 Nov 2009 22:31 GMT
 M. Whitehead says:
Why do you feel like a b!tch? You did us a favour. Ammy didn't get the last post, nor did he / she create this thread so good effort.

Ammy must have posted about 50 to 60 times.

Posted on 4 Nov 2009 01:15 GMT
What the f**k has been going on here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Who the hell is Ammy messing with our thread. For the regulars on here this a sacred place away from the bullsh*t that goes on on the rest of this forum and now I see that 2 non regulars have taken it amoungst themselves to hijack the part 2 thread and start a part 3. This is outrageous and I suggest that Bally start another one when you get into work later.

Hubbard, no offence mate but if you wanna post in here thats fine and the regulars on here are a sound bunch who chat and game online most nights but yoiu really should have left a new thread for Bally or another regular to start it up.

Not sure why i'm so bothered by all this but I am.

Posted on 4 Nov 2009 01:19 GMT
lol ok calm down :)

I'll be posting by the end of the month as i'm buying a 360, so i'll probably be adding a few people for some games as well as the 360 RATS.

Posted on 4 Nov 2009 01:30 GMT
Erm.. Neil.. My Gamertag^^ :( Is it missing because I kicked you from the Party earlier >< lol.

Posted on 4 Nov 2009 01:56 GMT
I think Neil just copied and pasted it from the previous thread.

morning lads, i see we are onto a new thread already lol

wayne don't let it get to you mate this thread has my official seal of opproval as i can't copy and paste the original post from our first thread and can't be bothered typing it all out again so someone has done me a favour.

who was that Ammy character who posted about 50 times in our last thread? i've got a feel ing that he/she will be getting the good old ignore button clicked.

i am kind of happy that he/she didn't get the last post lol

well i had a good wee night on cod4 with my mate yesterday and added with the fact that i pre-ordered my copy of MW2 after work yesterday it was a pretty good day.

so lads get posting and get this back to the top of the forum.

Morning Bally, Morning All.

"morning lads"

Now its home.

Bally - are you collecting or getting delivery of MW2? You said you were going in to game (?) so I guess collecting. Probably sensible consider the strikes and all.

Shame the last thread ended on such a bad note, hopefully Ammy won't come back. I was looking forward to reaching 10k with you lads today.

Morning All

What happened last night? I come in today and theres a new thread i thought we'd break amazon today lol

How's everyone today?

Rich/Mike - Did either of you get my invites to play L4D2 last night? I sent a few but got no response so put Forza on for a bit.

What did you think of the demo? I thought it shows promise and i quite like the daytime setting and I really like the melee weapons - the guitar and machete are fücking awsome zombie mashing tools :) I was quite impressed with the gauntlet section where you had to get to the alarm i can imagine on expert that can get the adrenaline flowing.

Didn't make it back on though as when my GF came in she looked like deaths cousin so was back on boyfriend duties tending to her.

I'm really hoping to get on tonight for some FIFA action if theres any going?

Morning lads,

Wayne - Wth? Way harsh on Hubbard me thinks...

Nice one to you Hubb for not letting that little sh*t end the thread and for starting a new one that even contained the great quote from the big B man himself haha.

No Bally didn't send you one mate sorry. i didn't think you was bothering with the demo for L4D2 but i saw Mike and Rich playing it so thought i'd see if i could get some co-op action. I didn't manage to get back on and was a bit gutted when i went on live.com to see what was happening and saw there was about 15 people off my friends list on. It really felt like i was missing out lol

Posted on 4 Nov 2009 09:04 GMT
Morning all, not quite how I pictured getting a new thread started, but we're here now.

Eli, I did not get an invite to play Left 4 Dead 2 at all mate. I'm pretty sure that Mike didn't either as we would've brought you into the game. I did notice that you were on the dashboard when we finished, but we had moved onto Fifa by then. I'll drop you an invite later to play the game again. I don't intend to keep playing the demo as I've seen enough to buy the game in a few weeks, but I will make an effort to get you in on the action.

Max, download the Left 4 Dead 2 demo! I now know where your Master Chief teddy bear is hidden - don't make me do it!!!!

The L4D2 demo was interesting. The gameplay is instantly familiar, but the outdoor setting of The Parish takes some getting used to. There's more variety in the weapons and the melee weapons (guitar, frying pan etc) are hilarious. The one thing that struck me about it is that the game suddenly felt more "arcadey" (Mike, feel free to disagree) with an action feel about it. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but it does mean that it is an alternative to the original meaning that I'll be playing both games.

Hubbard, thanks for starting a new thread on our behalf. At least Ammy didn't do it for us.

Neil, can you add the new users to your list of gamertags? Cheers

 Mikalos says:
Morning lads!............hello?........

This new thread scares me. I fear change, my reaction not disimilar to Garth in Waynes World. At least thanks to Hubbard there's a familiar start to it (though I hate that version of the list, I don't wanna be Michael Portillo!) Look forward to seeing you on Live in the near future mate!

Eli - We didn't get the invites I'm afraid and although I'll obviously play L4D2 with you when it comes out I'm gonna avoid playing it again until then. Saying that I'm sure I could be pursuaded to have 1 more runthrough ;p

I'm not gonna disagree with Rich as I said the same last night. It feels like it's lost some of the atmosphere and gained some action/comedy elements plus some s**t music! As Rich said last night, it's not disimilar to a theme park ride. That's not to say I dislike it though!

L4D2 seems great fun. The improvement in the graphics is slight but noticable. The new special and uncommon infected are great and work together as if you're on Versus, co-ordinating their attacks well. The guantlet is a nice change of pace from the original and decapatating zombies with a guitar never gets old (love the 'twang' upon impact). I think Valve have relesed this as an alternative for the original and I have a feeling I'll be playing both throughout next year!

Morning all,

Just a quick hello to get settled in to our new digs. Unfortunate how it happened but what can you do?

Welcome to the light side of the force Hubbard and I liked the "dave said, Bally said" bit lol

Mike, we can have one more run on expert and blood Eli into the ways of zombie survival. After all, if we don't make it through 2 short sections on expert, we'll have absolutely no chance surviving 5 chapters when the game is released. May as well get stuck into the game on the hard setting straight away.

The first film reference is Wayne's World. How many will be get through on our journey to 30,000 posts?

Morning lads,

Glad that little w****r didn't get to start the new thread! Nice to see nothing has changed though & Alan is already trying to provoke a reaction from Wayne on page 1!!!!

Sorry to keep harping on about it but fm08. If i got a promo cop-y of ebay (it's says it's the full game etc just missing a manual) do you still get achievements???

Being the massive gamescore whore that i am i was just wandering if i would be able to enhance my mammoth gs (3300) further with a promo copy???

In reply to an earlier post on 4 Nov 2009 09:25 GMT
 Mikalos says:
Haha you say that but how many attempts do you think we'll actually have! I'm up for that though (obviously) although I think we'll find it easier in the full game when we're well practiced and organised.

I quoted subconciously but I think there will be plenty of quotes yet again! ;p

Posted on 4 Nov 2009 09:31 GMT
Simmo, I have no idea about promo copies and achievements. Reviewers tend to get promo games to review and they unlock achievements (I remember seeing a video of a promo copy of Fallout 3 and the achievement for dropping a grenade in someone's pocket whilst in stealth mode popped up), but its hard to say for sure.

Mike, we'll blitz through it as long as Tom doesn't shoot me in the face in the safehouse when he's trying to heal himself.

Simmo, promo copies are exactly(from the ones I've had) the same as the retail games with achievements and all. I had a few promo games from my wife when she was a manager in the big Irish toy shop I always harp on about, she used to get them free from the xbox rep the only ones I managed to get were not great though Vampire Rain, Tenchu Z and Project Sylpheed I actually really enjoyed the last one though.

EDIT: How long do you reckon it will be before we get back to the top of the tree of posts? :)
