M. C. Gray says:
I do ! It was one of the western series that was on BBC 2 at 8pm on Monday nights. I loved it! The two stars (!) were actors called James Stacey and Wayne Maunder. Now if anybody ever produces a DVD of this ............!

I loved it too, watched it every week because of Jim Stacey, does anyone remember the bad motorbike crash he had? 'Jackie' the mag, used to keep us all up to date on his exploits, he was married to Kim Darby and had a daughter, his girlfriend Claire Cox (even remember her name how strange!) was killed in the crash. He lives I think with his daughter as his leg had to be amputated because of the crash and an arm I think.

John Gammon says:
I found this series highly intelligent and entertaining. Alas TV was overstocked with excellent westerns around the same time, and like Laredo and The High Chaparral it seemed somewhat lost in the market place. I particularly liked Andrew Duggan, a reliable and sensitive actor, who played the head of the clan, Murdoch Lancer.

Mr. A. Mcainey says:
Yes...it was v.good...the series ( I think one ) was too short...Better than Chapparal...but not (I remember ) as good as 'the dakotas' which aired at the same period.

I love Hugh J says:
This was a terrific Western TV Series. Loved it and I also loved Alias Smith and Jones with the gorgeous Pete Duel and Ben Murphy. I cried when the news came through that Pete Duel had died. I also enjoyed The High Chapparal .( Loved Uncle Buck)

Please, oh please can Fox put Lancer out on DVD for all regions, not just USA. There are loads of fans who would love to see it again in all its glory. It was a great series and should have run for much longer. James Stacy did indeed lose his left arm and leg in the M/C accident. He returned to acting and did amazing stuff. Now retired and living quietly. But that doesn't mean we shouldn't be able to relive our Lancer years. email 'Foxdrop@4icc.com' and let the studios know - we want Lancer - NOW!

My brother and I used to really look forward to watching Lancer - don't remember the year, early 70s perhaps - my memory is that it was on Saturday, but perhaps I'm wrong.

Remember it very well. Probably a repeat but was shown on Sunday teatimes when we were normally at my nans and about to go home. I wouldn't leave until it had finished. Both James Stacy and Wayne Maunder are still alive and in LA. My tapes are getting old but do have a dvd of an episode. Would be nice if they could bring it out.
