To which album or song are you listing at the moment???

And if possible, a little discreption of the album, espacilly if it is something unfamiliar.

Im listing to Revcos Se*-o Olympic-o.

This album is a bit more mainstream then the usuall stuff from Revco. Sometimes, in the first half of the album, Im reminded of The Sisters Of Mercy on speed.

The second half is very reminescent to older Revco stuff around Beers, Steers & Quee*s

I don't know what you like but I saw Elbow live last Sat and I have repeatedly played Leaers and Cast of Thousands. These blokes are in a class of their owm. Quite unique. Give them a try.

It doesnt matter what I like. Just write down what you are listing to today/at the moment. It doesnt have to fit my taste.

I think it would be interesting to see to what kind of music the people are here listening too.

I'm listening to Henry Cow - specifically to one of the live albums from the first of the two newly released 40th anniversary box sets.
Fascinating band - well worth the effort to get to know their work, and these box sets are a godsend for long term fans, who thought we'd heard the last from them with the studio albums.

I'm in a Caravan mood, Memory lain, Hugh / Headloss (its all one song) from the 'For girls who grow plump in the night album circa 1973. A little cracker.

Deadwing ~ Porcupine Tree - first PT album I've ever owned playing it about twice a day at the moment.

Ladies of the Road [Live] ~ King Crimson - my favourite line-up of KC - Fripp, saxophonist Mel Collins, Bassist/vocalist Boz and drummer Ian Wallace. Very good but at this stage I still prefer the rougher edge of Earthbound......

The Simmer Dim [Live] ~ John Martyn - a live album from 1980

The Anthology by Return to Forever - The four electric albums from 1973 to 1976, now that Corea, DiMeola, Clarke & White have reunited for a world tour here is the compilation. All the tracks have been remixed by Clarke & Corea and the result is a sonic revelation. The thin sound of the Polydor recordings has been replaced by a power house remix, presented, as on stage, drums & bass centre, keyboards right, guitar left. You are just left with 4 superlative musicians playing live in the studio. You get all of Hymn of the Seventh Galaxy, Where Have I known You Before & No Mystery minus the piano tracks and the Whole of Romantic Warrior

IOU ~ Allan Holdsworth - same as with PT above playing it twice a day, still sinking in (well it ain't `pap' music).

I'm decorating at the moment so doing 7/8 hours listening whilst I work, keeping to this tight playlist.
Best bones.

I'm not actually listening to rock at the mo. Its Melody Gardot - My One and Only Thrill. Comes across as a bit too schmaltzt at first, but also pretty smokin' and if you want something to put a lady in the mood....actually, the way her voice gets you, having a real lady is kinda optional.

A bit like music while you work then B.O.F, these young uns won't remember the old 'light programme', I wish I didn't he he he. Let me know your thoughts on Porcupine Tree when it's properly sunk in, I'm currently giving a regular airing to Spocks Beard's Snow in an attempt to find something a bit more up to date than my usual playlist, it's holding up alright, P.T are next on my list of bands to try out.

Best bones.

So you're still in Blighty then B.O.F. . And here's me been on tenterhooks worrying that you had got to the airport and realised that in the rush for the taxi you had left you Marillion albums in the CD player. I have been really cut up about the thought of you spending all those months in Spain without them

Can't get enough of Titus Andronicus at the moment. 'The airing of grievences' is already in my top 10 albums' of all time. 'arms against atrophy' is particularly amazing. Pitchfork media darlings that really do cut the mustard, if you like the sound of Arcade Fire meets Sex Pistols, with a unique roudy melodic power. Highly reccommended.

As its sunny, The Shins' 'Chutes too narrow' isnt far from my CD player too. Underrated album, so good!

 Blade Runner says:
Right about now. Im listing to Peter Fox- Stadtaffe.

Exellent Album of the Leadsinger/Rapper of Seeed. He is big in Germany. Music is a mixture of Ragga/Dancehall/Pop/Soul with some crazy German lyrics over it. If you are not afraid of music with foreign words over it, than this is the one.

Don't worry about me Peter the B.O.F.'s offsprings treated me to one of the last 160gb classic ipods so I've more than enough music stored for my June/July Spanish working holiday (no Mariilion) will be putting Porcupine Tree on of course..
Best bones.

Have listened to one of my recent buys; Black Mountain ~ In The Future over a dozen times and it just gets better with every play.
A hard rocking album with hints of the old days of sabbath,Purple, floyd etc.
Its really like a retro-prog bluesy psychedelic rock album of the old days but not too derivative - which is fine by me!
