 Professor Platt says:
That's right, Cameron said - There is plenty of Scottish blood flowing through these Cameron veins. Those sour faced little Englanders who want to break up the Union, I will fight them all the way. Well I have news for Cameron, it is his own Scotsmen that are trying to break the Union, by going independent and having their own parliament led by the SNP leader Alex Salmond.

 R. A. Caton says:
Aye, and the damned Scots Blair and Brown who initiated the breakup with their damned assemblies....
self determination for the Scots and Welsh funded by the English from Westminster!

 Professor Platt says:
Plotted by Scots with an agenda?
The breakup and demise of the English nation and it's people, revenge?

Maybe my history is imperfect but was not King James first King of Scotland when the English begged him to take the English crown. thus giving England to Scotland.
Why are the scots trying to loose their nearest possession? Maybe they feel they could do better on their own?

Up to the 12th century Ireland was called Scotland, the land of the Scotti tribe.
True or false.
Brian Buru was Scottish.
True or false.
Ireland was then called Hibernia.
True or false.
The Celts of Ireland came from Spain.
True or false.

 Gt Pattison says:
In actual fact there are more people in England wanting the break up of the union than there are in Scotland, we however in england dont have the voice that the Scotch do. We are depending on the snp to do it for us. Cameron may win the election but not by the margin expected, he has alienated Englisc voters whom have turned to the English Democrats, UKIP, BNP and other smaller parties. The Englisc were not asked if they wanted a union neither, when the union was formed we bailed out a bankript scotland who's investment in Panama had failed miserably and whos navy totalled only 4 ships whilst ours consisted of around 260, we have been paying for it since. Scotland can have independence although it will simply be an E.U region not a country with best wishes, i wish them well genuinely. It is a bit sad however that a nation wanting independence tries to get its two biggest teams into the Englisc Premiership. Independence means just that.

 Professor Platt says:
Beware of the backlash from us "Sour Faced Little Englanders".
Come on you Englanders, is it time to kick some Scottish arse?
Cameron's to be precise.
Make your vote count, don't waste it on the Con-servatives.
Remember Thatcher just before her own booted her out......
"Cast Iron Promise" of a referendum on Europe, well blow me down, kicked into touch even before Cameron is Prime Minister. Can we trust him to deliver anything? His word is NOT his bond, enough said.

 William Podmore says:
Gt Pattison writes, "Scotland can have independence although it will simply be an E.U region not a country." That's right, and ditto for Wales.
All Salmond wants is to be the gauleiter of an EU province.
The devolution scams are just cover for the EU's aim to break up Britain.
The EU wants us divided so that it can rule us more easily. Welsh & Scottish 'nationalists' are just pawns in the EU's game.
Keep Britain united and independent!

 Professor Platt says:
Excellent post William and I tend to agree with you. Shame all those MP's of Scottish descent who have been leading us seem to be going along with this EU superstate rubbish.
Got another one coming along too, soon, who has already caved in to their demands even before he is crowned as the next Prime Minister.
Maybe he has been promised it already and a grand plan of disinformation has been going on of late to get the "unelectable" Conservatives elected again. Musical chairs comes to mind here.

Mr Podmore is confused. First everybody on this discussion should be talking about the United Kingdom. Britain is just a geograpical region within the UK. I have yet to find anybody who claims to be from the West of Great Britain. Having lived and worked in all four countries, I have seen how the other three are treated as second class countries. Over the last 200 odd years England has caused all the problems and received all the benifits. When Money comes from Europe, England gets around 90% of it. Uk works best when we give all four countries get equal shares. Disband westminster, move the politicains to empty army camp somewhere north of Leeds and each country gets a 25% share. Remember Ulster didn't want a seperate goverment, it was always happy to be ruled by England. What Happened, England sold it out to catholic terrorists all the British soldiers, policemen & public died for nothing. I am all for a good strong UK, but not with England in charge anymore, the last 12 years have proved that.
