Yes, I know it's not music related but there are many of us postees who enjoy the game.........So, I thought with the new season upon us we could have a bit of footy related fun.
I will ask for five predictions every 4 weeks, the questions may change each time.
Lets say you will be awarded 5 points for every correct prediction. Each time you post a new set of answers you declare how many points you have in total at the end of your post (no cheating - eyes will be upon you!) and we will run our own league table.
The Premier season starts on Saturday August 15- so all predictions for this period must be submitted by Friday 14th of August. So, the first 5 questions
ON MONDAY THE 14th SEPTEMBER.....
1) Who will be top of the Premier League?
2) Who will be bottom of the Premier League?
3) What league position will Aston Villa hold?
4) Who will be leading the Championship League?
5) How many league games will Newcastle have lost? (number please)
There we have it five straightforward questions to get us started.
That would be cool. We could predict just how many more games Michael Owen will actually declare himself fit for now that he is on a pay as you play contract.
But before this thread gets pulled for having nothing to do with music: Which did you think was best: Diamond Lights by Glenn & Chris or Kevin Keegan's Head Over Heels in Love?
Are you guys aware that we have a football thread up and running over on the 'Sport' forum? Just type sport in the 'Jump to tag' box at the top and scroll down a gnat's when you get there and you'll find us. Lots of bickering about Schiz stealing the idea in the first place, assorted digs and jibes and even the odd mention of football! Come on over!!! Liquidator, there is if you want it! It's called 'Football Fan?', so far we've had footie and cricket and 'Schiz's brilliantly original ideas'! Basically, like most of the fora, talk about what you want. I like my boxing, so I'm up for that, though whether I'm well enough informed to be up to your level I don't know. I know enough to tell from the beginning that Audley Harrison was a total loser and that Matt Skelton is an embarrassment to the heavyweight division. Love.
I notice 'old whisky face' Fergie is already getting ready for the new season by moaning and complaining at yesterdays match...I despise that man. Anyway my predictions are:
1.) Arsenal (always a good bet for the first week as most teams who win will be on the same points...it all comes down to alphabetical order!) 2.) Portsmouth 3.) 4th 4.) Derby 5.) 1
Can't wait for the Premiership to kick off!! I'm expecting an easy win against Everton (sorry Toffee)!
Fergie is perfectly right to complain about yesterday's match, it may have only been a Community Shield encounter, but what took place was just sickening. Michael Ballack makes me nauseous, an utter slimeball.
