Not bad, could be better 14 Jun 2005
By tjguitar - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD Verified Purchase
Half the CD consists of music from Star Trek: Star Trek 2 through 5 as well the original series (mislabeled as Star Trek 1)

The star trek tracks are subpar compared to OST, as well as re-recordings by the Varese, Telarc and Silva labels, but this one isn't that bad if you can find it, I picked it up used here on amazon for 4.99 + shipping and I'm glad I did, i love star trek re-recordings to here what the various orchestras did different and what not. Like I said, this one isn't that bad. The orchestra is kind of underpowered in comparison to the brass, but its a cool sound. "Philharmonic Rock Orchestra" is somewhat misleading as there aren't any rock instruments (sans what appears to be some electric guitars in the extended version of the original series theme)

If you can find this for say under 5-10 bucks, I'd pick it up, but its not worth much more than that.
