I've been thinning on top for the past seven years. And I grew bored of constantly shaving my head, and the "egg look" started to wear thin. So I wanted something that would reduce the shinyness of my bald spot, and for me Caboki does the trick! It's not for everyone, and only works if your thinning not proper bald. Also this is the first Hair-in-a-can product I have used. I have not tried Toppik yet, but as I am satisfied with Caboki, I would only try Toppik to compare the two.

That being said.... if you have very fine thinning hair on your bald patch it will work just fine! I've been using Caboki for a couple of months now and am very pleased with the results. Your hair has to be at least 2cm long for the product to work. If you apply it to a crew cut, it will look like someone has poured dust on your head and you will just look dirty.

Takes a bit of practice to get it down but the results are worth it. However this product isn't without flaws. So here are the negatives and how to get around them:

- If not spread evenly (light tapping), clumping can occur (from heavy tapping), where you get small balls of hair forming. These have to be picked out carefully.
- Can be rubbed off with effort, so don't touch your hair!!! Patting is ok. I have been out all night and came home nice and sweaty and my hair was fine, but no-one touched my hair.
- Does come off while you sleep, so watch out if you get lucky! Or walk with it so you can touch your hair up in an emergency.
- Comb lightly once applied, or you'll take too much out and then have to reapply it then it won't look right. If you get to this stage, best wash it out and start again. You'll make this mistake a few times and waste the product. So learn from this as it will cost you time and money!!!
- Once applied dont play with it too much or you'll spoil it, and less is definatly more. There's nothing wrong with thinning a bit on top, but it doesn't look natural if you cake it on!!!

How I use this product

I use hair putty in my normal hair to style and shape what I got, and caboki to fill in the areas where I don't got. Once done I use a bit of hair spray to hold it in place and Boom!!! I'm done baby!!!!

For me Caboki works fine, and people don't notice even up close! And my confidnce is sky high. Just dont touch my hair!!!! And yes I am vain...... again. ;-P

Felt I really had to write a review as had Caboki for about 3 weeks now and I'm stunned!. My hair is thinning on top at the back and also have a bald patch about the size of a two pound coin on top which I can usually cover up no probs. I stumbled across this product by accident and watched the U-Tube videos which made me laugh as I was trying to see the trick but was so amazed, I showed my wife and we were both in disbelief. Anyway..me being me thought I would buy some despite the free offer and it is totally amazing. Ok I'm not a complete baldy as some of the guys in the video but it really does cover the thin and bald patches I have. I got my wife to look at my new hair outside in daylight and she honestly couldn't tell, it really does put a grin on your face. Every time I see a bald guy I want to use it on them. I've slept with it on and havnt noticed any on the pillow but I'm not using vast amounts every time. Caboki comes with a pepper pot top, which I use by tapping onto my head then use the pot to smooth it down. It really does work. There's a really funny video on U-Tube with two American guys trying Caboki and the guy having it applied is a lot thinner on top than me and he comes out well happy. Definately have a go I know you won't be disappointed just wish it was permanent.

1. It works just like all the videos!
2. My tub doesnt last me 75 days, more like 30 days, but I need to learn to use sparingly!
3. USE HAIRSPRAY AFTER USE - after you put it on, if you put your palm on your head, fibres will go on your head. After hairspray, this wont happen.
4. Rain - it'll be fine in light rain. Moderate rain again it can handle but my advice is if you use Caboki, always have an umbrella on you (keep in the car, etc).
5. Beards - this product isnt for beards, however I put a bit on my beard where I have a slight patch and I put on a bit of hairspray on the area to hold it. I literally dab it from my finger to beard and it does a great job. It wont hold on your beard without hairspray though.

I have been using different hair fibres since my hair started thinning due to a scalp condition called Lichen Planopilaris. All of the other products irritated my scalp and I only used them very occasionally as a result. The Caboki fibres said they were different as they used plant fibres and not wool products and I was skeptical but gave it a go.

They are, for me, a much better product and unless my LPP is on a flare up, which happens every so often, I can use this every day.

They aren't perfect, it seems to work a lot better on top than at the sides, but they help enormously and I am really happy I found this product. I just wish they weren't so expensive!

When i first tried this, i was pleased, on first impressions it was working, but on further inspection it was giving the impression of more hair but was actually darkening the scalp. After about an hour it seemed to go altogether, having no beneficial effect, i would not buy again.

To anyone with thinning hair (must have some hair for it to work), and maybe thinking about giving this stuff a go, then I strongly recommend caboki.

I've been using this for about 1 year and have just purchased my 3rd bottle, so the cost is hardly crippling - less than 2 quid a week!

As for the results....WOW! I am still amazed today at how well this works.

Simple and easy to use, once applied it will last all day and, in my case all night as i only wash my hair every 2 or 3 days.
In between washing my hair a quick 30 second top-up sprinkle when I get up and good as new!

Holds up well in rain and wind to a certain degree , also no problem with staining or running if you sweat.

Despite having a sensitive scalp, causes no irritation what so ever and in fact feels so natural that for long periods I forget I'm wearing it!

I've recently experimented with a couple of other cheaper brands and whilst they "do a job", both fell short of this stuff.

Unless you are a total "slaphead" (to put it crudely) and you have at least some hair on top, this should be a simple no fuss solution to your hair loss worries.

I bought this product after seeing the youtube ads. I thought there'd been some photoshop work done in the video to make it look more effective, but the actual effect of using this is amazing. It works completely and it is impossible to tell it isn't real hair. My crown area has thinned significantly in recent years and within minutes caboki particles attached, thickened and blended in completely with my hair and it is impossible to tell I am thinning. I can even brush my hair with it on into the style I want. In terms of flaking, some particles come off during sleep but I expected that anyway. However, last night was the first time I went out in public and I had complete confidence. My friend was amazed to discover that my hair on my crown was not all my own. I am using this with hairspray just for extra confidence.

Saw this on YouTube then a hairdresser recommended it to me. My hair is fine and thinning and caboki makes me look like I have a full head of thick hair for the first time in over ten years! It's amazing. Works in a minute, lasts until you shampoo. I have wowed all my friends and colleagues with this! Buy it!!

Bought for my boyfriend and he can't believe how effective Caboki is. Although it's not a permanent solution, it convincingly looks likes he's got a full head of hair when applied and it looks like it's going to go a long way, so great value at £30! Highly recommended!
