Absolutely sublime. It is fair to say I am not a stranger to champagne - but this Christmas I had Dom Perignon for the first time with the family. Yes spending over £100 for a bottle of anything is going to be out of the question for many as a point of principle. However, for those "umming and arring" over it - in the words of Nike - just do it! The best way I can describe it is as follows: when you have had other champagnes, as it flows down the pallet the initial sweetness is quickly (and often subtly) replaced with a slight acidy/bubbly aftertaste which takes away from the experience somewhat. With Dom Perignon however - no such thing happens. My family described it as velvet like in the way one drank it. There was no bitterness, no acidic after taste, in fact there was a delicious light creamy aftertaste in the pallet that was entirely enjoyable. An absolute must buy. I promise the only thing you will regret is not buying two!

Great champagne can't fault DP company was good to deal with shame it didn't last longer. This is around the same price you'd pay at duty free. I'll be buying more next special occasion

Best champagne brut ever. It is expensive, but for special occations you don't mind. Bought this for our wedding anniversary, plus hubbies 65th birthday.

I am told it arrived in the correct timeframe and was very much enjoyed by the recipients. Regret I wasn't there to sample it.

For someone's 70th birthday, we splashed out on this - hopefully - failsafe champagne, Dom P obviously ranks up there with the highest BUT what a disappointment! The colour and bubbles were delightful, like liquid citrines in a glass, a pale straw colour, good bouquet, then.....blindfolded, you'd have sworn it was a £30.00 bottle of Mumm Cordon Rouge (or suchlike) from a supermarket! (No lies, I've had more characterful, complex Cava!) Probably £100-odd is the 'cheaper' end of the scale at this level, we can't afford £00's, but even so. The box and bottle were very classy, the cork came out easily with a lovely pop, then - downhill all the way. Were we just unlucky or, at this 'low end' price, does the Dom P emperor really have no clothes? :-(

It's just okay, I've had nicer champagnes at around the price of £65 which I would buy over this. We left half the bottle actually. It has a very acidic taste to it which you expect to not be there in a bottle of this price range.
