Heartbeats V2 headphones are amazing! I also own the previous Heartbeats and absolutely love them, but this new version is in (almost) every way better!

The fit of the earplugs are much better and you have more tips to choose from (6 pairs of standard and 2 pairs of cone-shaped tips). The earplugs are very comfortable; I can wear them for hours and hours without any problems! The earpieces don't fall out so easily (which was major negative on previous Heartbeats) due to lighter earpieces and slimmer + lighter tangle-free cord. And the tangle-free cord is really handy: no more frustrations any more..they really never tangle!!!

The design is very we can expect always expect from Beats!

Only one negative thing I can think of: why did they ever remove the volume/forward-reverse buttons on the control-talk?!

But most important: the sound is amazing: rich deep bass and crispy clear sound! Although the previous Heartbeats already had amazing sound, they are off the charts in these headphones. I did not expect that sound quality would be so much improved! Beats by Dre really outdid themselves!

Firstly i'm a huge Little Monster; so i did want to get these headphones as it has Lady Gaga's name on it!

I'm just going to get to the sound quality...

The headphones are seriously overpriced for £130; do NOT pay that much! The maximum you should be willing to pay for these is £50; if you was to compare them to other in-earphones.

The sound is very good for certain genres. Although it's optimised for Pop music, the earphones find it very difficult to handle tracks with alot going on. E.g: One Direction where it's very Pop-rock.
But where it does excel is in bass. So feed it a few songs from ARTPOP and you get decent sound.

E.g if you play 'Donatella', you get a nice level of clarity; it's not out of this world, but it's listenable and audible. The bass is very good and brings out the best of the bassline. It also goes quite loud! If you play the song 'ARTPOP', you get a very nice listening experience as it's a simple song. But then you get to 'Applause' and the chorus seems a little too out there, a bit hard-edged if i'm honest; no subtlety about it, just noise!

These aren't the best earphones in the world, but they aren't trying to be. If you like Lady Gaga, enjoy dance music and are able to find these under £50; go ahead!

Brought some of these (but from Currys as wanted to make sure I had a till receipt for the warranty). At first listen I wasn't impressed, however I think it was just the first song I chose to listen to made them sound tinny. They really do suit types of music better - mainly pop and anything with base - rock sounds ok.
I also own a pair of beats studio headphones and these are not as good, but they are a cheaper model. It took me a little while to work out which of the sized ends fitted my ears correctly and only then were they comfortable.
Basically the build quality, sound etc is good - but not excellent. If all you care about is sound quality then I'd go for something like the Bose in ear range. They come with a carry pouch but it's a shame it's not a hard case (like the one that came with the 1.0 version).
After some use I have to say I'm happy with them, but not 100% sure they are worth the price tag.

After I wrote this review they broke within 2 days of owning them and about an hours use. The controltalk doesn't control my iPhone 4, the microphone doesn't work at all! I'll be returning these ASAP for a full refund. They are just not worth the price tag - will go for Bose instead.

Ear pieces too big for my ears... changed the buds and none are sized right.

Over priced for the name and design.

Quality is better with Bose or Senheizer.

Wouldn't purchase beats again.

It's a very good earphone for music. But you can't hear others clearly when using on an Apple Iphone 4.

cant even get these in the high street anymore, these are better than the previous heartbeat ever, very cool and comfortable, the flat cable design works to avoid the tangle on normal cable
