It took me an age to decide on a case that was protective, functional and stylish. I had previously browsed a number of cases recommended by Apple on their site but reviews complained of various issues ranging from the zippers scratching the mac to a lack of storage.

The Vangoddy (a brand I had never heard of) doesn't have any of the problems I've seen other cases have. It's strong and very well manufactured along the seams and strap areas. It's maiden voyage involved some lovely London rainstorms and after a good soaking my macbook was safe and dry inside.

The pockets are useful and quite big. You can squeeze in the power pack and a number of leads, but I'm not sure carrying the power pack around on a regular basis is a good fit for the case - I can see it stretching the case over time. The main area is a great fit for the macbook pro 13" - no movement in the case. The strap is chunky and gives you peace of mind that it's not going to fall apart!

In summary, the case is well padded, well made, in my opinion attractive and a bargain when compared to the cases retailing for circa. £100 in the Apple stores.

I have been looking for a good case for my 13" MacBook pro for ages. I have tried a lot of different bags, cases etc, and never been 100% pleased with them for whatever reason. But at last I have found a case which fits my macbook perfect. There are your pockets, one zip pocket for the macbook/Laptop etc. two zip pockets at the front and a pocket on the back to slip paper in or whatever you wish. It's really well made, built to last. It comes with a strap which you can put on when you need to. Over all, very happy with this case. :)

The brand is one that is quite new to me and the purchase was made primarily in consequence of earlier reviews. The construction appears to be of high quality and uses suitable materials throughout.

Available in several colours and in at least two sizes (the smaller best suited to 7-9 inch tablets, although it may suit some 10-inch models) I bought this to take a Sony Xperia 10-inch tablet which appears to be a little too wide (long) for the smaller size. Designed to take a tablet or ultrabook sideways on, there is moderate protection internally and a total of four pockets including the full depth main one. Two on one side are zipped and neither are full width. The smaller is not full-depth and may be used for a wallet or mobile phone and the larger is full-depth and could be used for accessories or leads. The final pocket is on the opposing side, is not zipped but could be used for the power lead and adapter. That on the Sony has a push-pull earth pin (plastic and non-functional) that allows the adapter to be about half the depth of most others and will not cause the pocket to bulge out too much.

The fabric appears to be strong and of 'ballistic' quality. The zips are metal with solid metal and plastic pullers and the clips for the shoulder strap are of excellent quality and very strong, probably stronger than on bags designed to carry far more weight than this is likely ever to see. The handle attaches to small D-rings on either edge which are held in place by a fully-stitched fabric loop.

The only thing missing, and the design would not readily permit it, is a carry handle although a non-slip shoulder pad would be welcomed

I ordered this carry case on Saturday and received it on Monday. It sits on the strap in portrait rather than landscape way, which is not a problem, but not quite what I had expected. Long rather than wide. The purple colour is not too bright, so it does not look garish.

I have a big fat lead and adapter as I bought my Air in The States, so these won't fit in the front pocket. Actually, there are 2 front pockets-one for a mouse and the other for cables, but the one for cables won't stretch sufficiently for my leads. It would accept a cable which just has a USB port on one end and a connector for laptop on the other, but anything larger like a proper plug, would be a stretch. Still, I have happy with it, as it seems padded enough to protect the laptop. The top two corners are not padded, where the zip is, so I will need to be careful not to knock the top 2 corners. It also has a back flap which could accommodate a few bits and pieces.

I bought this because I was looking for a neat protective case for my mac air - all the others I saw either didn't have handles or were over-designed. This one is great - just the right size, and with a pocket ideal for carrying a tablet too. Its really neat and compact. The only slight concern I have is the lack of information about the materials used - I'd prefer something waterproof like neoprene or shock absorbent. The material seems quite good and robust, but I'd rather there was some information with it to let me know if I can (for example) take this in the rain and be sure its safe and waterproof.

I suppose my Samsung is a poor man's Macbook Air, but this is a perfect fit.
It is very snug and feels safe. The plug can fit into the front zip pocket and the strap is long enough to wear it messenger bag style on the tube which is perfect.
I purchased this off the back of reading other reviews and am delighted I found it.
Really happy with this purchase. Arrived in excellent time too.

Thought this looked good on first inspection but on first use I realised the bag is only padded on the 2 faces, with no protection at all on the rim/edge so should you use the shoulder strap and put the bag down on its end your laptop will only be separated from the floor by a single layer of nylon. I returned mine.

Yeay, finally! A laptop case that doesn't look naff and oozes quality. Adequately padded inside with a fleecy feel, and what seems like a water-repellent fabric on the outside. Two external pockets too, the largest of which I can fit my laptop charger cable in, which I'm pleased about. I can also fit pens and such like in the small pocket and my external hard drive too in the main compartment.

Comes with a strap if you want to wear it like a bag, which although I won't use, it's a nice option to have.

Not really, really snug but snug enough that my laptop (latest version of the MacBook Air) is protected. Hence why I've given 4 and not 5 stars.

Really pleased.

Bought this bag/sleeve for my samsung ultrabook. It fits the laptop nicely but thats about it. It struggle to fit the charger and no way you can put any books or documents in it. So if don't intend on carrying anything else, then its the one for u. Another thing is the strap, there's no padding at all and if you walk alot with your laptop like me, it won't be long before you feel the strain on your shoulder. Because of that I give 4 stars. Overall, good quality, enough padding for the compartment. Very please with the delivery.

I am very pleased with this carry case for my 'MacBook Air'. It's a very attractive red colour and has a good strong strap for carrying my mac around. Very pleased with it.
