After reading a few good comments about this cream, I asked for it as a Birthday Gift.

I've now had it for a few months and it remains my absolute go-to cream, no matter what mood I'm in. I keep trying to bring in something to replace it and every single time, I end up back on the Jermyn Street cream.

Packaging: The standard Taylor cream tubs, but the black finish adds a classy look to it. Feels expensive

Fragrance: A light, but refreshing Fougere. Genuinely pleasant and one of the best smelling creams i've owned.

Lather: This stuff whips up into a superb dense lather with almost no effort. I wet my brush in the shower, and shake out most of the water. I scoop a small dollop of cream on the tip of my finger and apply it to the brush, and then start applying to my face. I add water as the lather builds until i have an enormous amount of thick dense foam. Enough to easilly do a 3-4 pass shave with no loss of quality. Its very lubricating, moisturising and protective.

I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommend this to ANYONE, even those who do not have issues with sensitive skin. You can never be too kind to your skin and this cream will look after you. I have since gone on to buy the matching soap and shower gel. Each of them is a superb product, complimenting the other well.

Forget your Edwin Jagger, Truefitt & Hill and Crabtree & Evelyn creams, get yourself a tub of this stuff.

An excellent cream that lathers well and smells nice. Also, not much is required on the shaving brush to produce the lather so this bowl should last a long time. Excellent service from the seller too.

I decided to get rid of all the market stuff, gels etc. I read some positive reviews here on Amazon and ordered this product. It turned out to be absolutely fantastic when used with a badger hair brush. Shaving comfort I have never experienced before. There's no turning back to that big brand's mediocre products. I love the scent and only wish they made a similar after shave balm/cream. Highly recommended.

I have been struggling for years to find something that doesn't kill my face. I have sensitive skin, yet very course facial hair. Therefore making shaving a bit of a chore. Through a recommendation from a friend, I have found this shaving cream, combined with Proraso's preshave creamPre and Post Shave Cream Ultra Sensitive and have found it to be the best combination for me!
The Taylors cream lathers quite well, and only requires the smallest amounts for full coverage.
For those not in the know, you must use a shaving brush, otherwise it will not lather or work properly.
Highly recommended, and will likely be using this cream for years to come.

I bought this as I have very sensitive skin, infact my skin is my worst enemy. On reading the ingredients I was quite shocked to find parfum (fragrance), however my skin reacted well to it. It was my first time using a double edge razor and so first time using this product. Usually it only takes one attempt to know if its right or wrong for me, however I was fine. For me the fragrance isnt all that pleasing to be honest, I didnt actually like it. As this is for sensitive skin its not really needed and shouldnt really be there. Before purchasing all my double edge kit I watched youtube videos and read quite a bit, and im not sure If I did anything wrong but the cream didnt froth as much id seen others do. Maybe I didnt use enough, or the product doesnt do that I dont know, but it still worked well. 150 grams is quite a lot and looks as though it will last months. Compare that to standard shaving foam costs, it appears this product will pay for itself. I will continue to use the product and if nothing else goes wrong then I would buy this again. I knocked one star off because of the parfum.

Being sensitive to shaving, i have tried many shaving creams and oils over many years,, none of which come close to the comfortable shave that this stuff helps you achieve, I can use the same blade for many more shaves, when in the past I would probably have had four to six shaves with the one blade,
Using the cream takes a little more effort than the convenience of a spray can, I find that applying is best done with a brush, I use the inside of the lid to mix approx a sugar lump size, blob of cream, dip the brush in to very hot water and work the cream in to a lather, applying, when I think it ready, not too runny or thick, While preparing the shaving the shaving cream, I keep a warm damp cloth pressed on to the areas to be shaved, Using this system really has been kind to my face, under the chin and neck especially, I also get a lot more blade usage miles which offsets the expense, , I can with no reservation, recommend Jermyn Street Collection for Sensitive Skin, to any one looking for a close, smooth, comfortable shave,
Go for it, as they say, you are worth it

What can I possibly say that hasn't already been said in other reviews. Rich creamy lather; great scent, good value for money.
I guess there is nothing new I can say after all. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately this shaving cream did not meet my expectations. Very drying to skin and contains perfume, which is what other manufacturers are trying to avoid when formulating products for sensitive skin. Lathers well, but will not soften your beard and will leave your skin tight, dry and burning so make sure you have fire extinguisher handy when you shave... Having used it 2 times with brand new razor I had no choice but to bin it.

This shaving cream by Taylor Of Bond Street is the best one I've used. If only they had an aftershave with the same smell as this cream. I've not had any other creams lather up as well as this as well, you just dip your shaving brush into hot water, leave upside down till it stops dripping water, then just dab into the cream then in a shaving bowel or your hand just lather it up and that will be more than enough to shave with.

At the age of 40 and after 20 years of various problems getting a good shave with little or no irritation I am a recent convert to safety razors.

I'm using a Parker 99R razor and Astra platinum blades. I have tried Palmolive soap and Proraso soap before using this. I really like the Proraso but I think that this gives me a slightly smoother shave with a really nice finish.

I found it easier to get a proper lather out of the soap but it's worth the effort to learn how to produce a good thick lasting lather with this. I think the technique is slightly different with different products. Learn to get it right with this cream and you will enjoy a very good smooth shave. At the price it won't break the bank to try it.
