We bought this for my two daughters who are 2 and 4 years old. It took two of us a couple of hours to put together, there are many pieces but everything was clearly labelled and the instructions were easy to follow.
All went well until we came to attach the oven and dishwasher doors, each has a shelf at the bottom which are held in place by tiny wooden dowels. When attaching the dishwasher door my husband put a little too much pressure on the shelf, the wood split and one of the dowels came right through the top so we had to glue it and put some supports underneath. 3 months after buying this kitchen one of the girls has stood on the oven shelf and that too has broken. We have managed to fix it but if you buy this kitchen I would advise fixing some extra supports under those two shelves at the start.
The other problem I have is with the washing machine door, it comes off quite easily if opened too far although it can be put back on easily enough. Our kitchen does not have a chalk board or magic oven door as stated in the description.
Apart from the oven / dishwasher shelves it seems to be well made and my daughters really love this kitchen. It is a good size without being too big and there is plenty of space within the cupboards and shelves for storing all the toy food, plates, etc. It has already provided many hours of fun and If it weren't for those shelves I would have given this kitchen 5 stars.

This is an attractive, solid, fun-filled toy kitchen. My 2 year old loves it and I can see many years use out of it. It's compact and yet has everything.

Infact its solid build is also its downfall - it's a little over-engineered. The packet is already large and heavy in its unbuilt state. The pieces are packed as tightly as is possible. Every screw, hook, nail, handle, hinge ... you have to assemble. Nothing arrives pre-assembled. Even the hands on the clock have to be put together. I suppose if some hinges/screws/etc were already in, the already large packet would be even bigger.

So this is my advice - BE PREPARED. You have to assemble it before your child even sees it. Make sure you have an electric screwdriver (to save your wrists - but not all screws can be tightened this way) and a hammer. Despite being well-equiped, DIY fiends, and 2 of us, it still took over 3 hours to put together.

Despite this, I would still choose it over the other toy kitchens on the market because it's built to last. The reward is a top quality toy and a happy child.

I agree with other reveiws that it takes a long time - and many people!- to construct, but it is well worth it. We gave it to my grandson for his 2nd birthday, and his fasce said it all when he saw it. He spent the whole weekend that we were there playing with it - making cups of tea, and cooking on the hob and in the microwave. It was a fantastic choice, and will hopefully keep him happy for a long time.

Item arrived very quickly. Took over 3 hours to put together however the instructions and part labelling is very good. Had the kitchen for 6 weeks now, the item is sturdy and kids love it.
at £180ish that i paid i think its worth the money when compared with cheaper options, not a bargain but a fair price.

This is a brilliant and cheerful looking kitchen which is less bulky than I thought and looks great. It also seems to be very good quaility and sturdy. My daughter (2) loves it. It arrived in a large box in many, many, parts - but it was brilliantly labelled and the instructions were very clear (it still took 3hrs to assemble, but all pieces present and very logical to follow).

My brother bought this kitchen for my 2 Year old it fitted the size and type of kitchen we wanted...as with other reviews the only problem we had with it was the fittings for the oven (and tumble dryer) doors were very small and sadly my brother did also break the connection through the shelf whilst putting it together but as everything else was fine we just reinforced the shelves with some blocks of wood! Otherwise this kitchen is very sturdy...it has withstood my 4 year old twins heavy handedness and it has some great detail...all my 3 love opening and shutting all the cupboards and doors...overall I am very happy with it which shows in my 4 star rating.

A lovely looking kitchen that my 17 month loves to play with but a few things let it down, especially as it's one of the more expensive ones out there. The washing machine is badly designed. You can't put things in it easily and then close the door. Not very deep. Also the door comes off it's hinges very easily ( ours is permanently off now). It also arrived with a few cracks and marks. We did get replacement parts but they took ages to come. It looks good. Great general design but the washing machine lets it down.

Just given this to my 3yr old for his birthday, its perfect size for him with room to grow too. His younger sister has also LOVED playing with it. Its sturdy, durable, looks amazing (I'm seriously jealous of the work surfaces on it!) and while it was a tad complex to put together (glad my husband was on hand to help), the directions were easy to follow and all pieces correct and accounted for

Very pleased with this kitchen. It is sturdy and well thought out and best of all my little girl loves it.

One thing i will say, lots of components! I was unpacking and unwrapping bits and bobs for about 20 mins.. This was followed by a couple of hours build time, admittedly slowed a little by a two year old "helping" every so often. The build was very straight-forward though I would suggest getting your electric screwdriver out as there is a lot to do.

Finished result is now proudly sat in the dining room and is played with daily.

This play kitchen is superb. My daughter of two and a half loves it and plays with it all the time. Great for developing imaginative play. My wife and I put it together in about 4 hours but I do have a lot of flat pack experience due to my work. It's very robust and is built to last. Although it's sizeable, against a wall doesn't take up much room at all. Worth the money.
