The spray on the iron did not work. The steam was not powerful at all. I felt as thought I was using a normal steam iron and not a steam generator iron. It was a total disappointment and I will definitely NOT recommend it.

My 5 year old Philips GC2510 steam iron performs better than this 'steam station'. I wish l had not been lured by its claims and the price. A real disappointment. I have however used another similar steam station which was an absolute dream to use, especially for shirts and linen sheets and only wish l could remember which make it was - definitely not Russell Hobbs!

I have been using steam generator irons for the past six years and this is certainly the worst one I have ever bought. The steam power is zero!

Bought this item thinking this would do, but found that it was not quite good enough for what i wanted with just 40gm/min of steam. The iron it self was of ok quality but it is true to say you get what you pay for.The item was returned and a more expensive iron was perchased.

This product works fine...though I thought the amount of steam released would be more...having said that...I am happy enough with this product and certainly good if there is a lot of ironing to do.

This is the best steam iron I have every had. Its not heavy or bulky and it gives off the right amount of steam. You also do not feel as if you were in a sauna when you are ironing. And very well priced

I never felt the need to write a review before, but I feel it is best to warn potential purchasers. This iron produces no more steam than an ordinary steam iron. Possibly less. If you are specifically after a steam generating iron to make the task easier, then I would advise that you look elsewhere. Our 4 year old Tesco-branded model performed better.

After l5 years of sterling service my old iron was well past its best. My choice of the Russell Hobbs Steam Station was made after seeing Amazons ad and the fact that the price was definately right!
I was not disappointed. Sleak, lightweight, and easy to use, what more could you want. I cant say ironing is my favourite occupation, but the Russell Hobbs makes it almost a pleasure.

Another iron that failed.

I don't by all means do a lot of ironing. I probably iron 10 shirts a month, all in one go and have had the iron for 4 years. that equates to approximately 50 ironing sessions, at a maximum of 90 minute each session; ie a total of 75 hours of ironing.

Initially i thought the iron was fine. Although it is always going to be noisy due to the pump, i put up with it. It seemed to do the job. However, during one session the tell tale excessive amount of water came out followed by a whole lot of brown water. The iron was blown and a shirt ruined.

I have had several irons in my life. this was the noisiest, and probably the most expensive in terms of clothes ironed.

Steer clear.

This was a complete waste of time. I have used steam generator irons before and this is definatley NOT one. My ordinary iron puts out more steam than this one complete waste of time. I have sent it back and ordered another one which is fantastic!!!
