I've looked up what HP 350 original means.... there is only 4.5ml of ink in this cartridge.
If you find an HP 350 standard cartridge it will have 16 ml of ink in it.
If you get the 350 XL cartridge it will have 25 ml of ink in it. So you get what you pay for.... I couldn't understand why the originalblack cartridges ran out so fast - now I know why... and you do too. Very deceptive marketing.

a) Cartridge is decribed as a 'High capacity black genuine canon ink cartridge.' it is infact an HP '200 page' capacity cartridge.

b) the picture of the packaging shown above is different from what is recieved.

So both the written and pictoral description is wrong.

Do not be mislead into thinking you are getting a HP 350 XL cartridge at a very cheap price.

There's always the question whether to use original cartridges or generic ones. If you don't print too much, I'd suggest you stay with this one. It's a bit more expensive but the quality is indeed higher and most likely won't give you any headache with your printer.

When Hp sell you a new printer they only give you starter cartridges with it which hold a very small amount of ink in them Hp 350 black and the Hp 351 colour cartridges. I was using about 3 black and 2 colours cartridge per month and it was costing me a small forturne. I later found out that Hp do a higher yield versions of the 350 and 351 cartridges which cost only a few pounds more but hold far more ink in them than the starter cartridges which I was using before. What you need is a HP 350XL on the black which hold 20mls of ink rather than the 4.5mls of ink that is in the 350 starter cartridge and on the colour what you should be using is a HP 351XL which holds 13mls rather than the 3.5mls which is in the 351 colour starter cartridge. I can even go one better, I now use a company called advantage online who stock the Hp originals plus do a British premium compatible 350XL and 351XL cartridges which hold a impressive 34mls black and 21mls colour. I have used them a couple of times so far and have been quite impressed. I hope you don't fall into the Hp trap of selling a very good printer (Officejet J5740) at a very cheap price and then trying to charge you load of money for starter cartridges which are nearly empty.

The print quality from this black ink deffinitely meets my needs, but I swear it seems to run dry really fast. I've found myself purchasing a new cartridge every few months, when I don't do that much printing. Certainly not 200 pages, I think that estimate's a little high. Maybe it's just my printer, I don't know. I use the colour HP 351 cartridge too, and it never seems to run out as fast. Might wanna consider a cheaper alternative, such as at AB Cartridges. (Google it).

I was slightly concerned that the product would in some way be inferior to that purchased for considerably more at local retailers but was most pleasant surprised by the quick response and quality. An excellent purchase.

I Ordered 2 ink jets the Yellow came but the other Black ink jet still waiting for, e/mail 3 times but still not received the Item.
Will never order again, only if it comes from Amazon the Yellow Ink Jet came the next day.
But the Black Photo ink jet was coming from a link via Amazon.

Good fast delivery. Free postage and you pay less than you would in the shops or from HP direct. No complaints here.
