One of the things i loved about this film was the way the confrontation between Tuo Tuo and Qinlong is developed. He knows imo she is better than him i think in almost the first few moves of fight 1. In most cases if someone is more skilled than you, then they win. We see this when the Judge fights Tuo Tuo. He has youth and skill but not the battle wisdom. Qinlong does have battle wisdom you could call it.
I see this battle as Will vs Skill. His determination to see the mission through he uses his environment and surroundings to full effect and eventually gets hold of her in a "death embrace" you could call it before signalling his Blade box to kill them both....quite ironic. Quite a tender moment when she grips his hand before getting speared.
I feel they (the director) should have developed the relationship between these two more. I almost got the feeling they knew each other or were former lovers?
