4.0 out of 5 stars Worked with windows 7 64-bit 22 Oct 2011

I know some people had problems with the wired version of this obdII scanner but the elm bluetooth v1.4 one here installed and worked properly on my windows 7 64-bit ultimate laptop without extra drivers.
only thing i would say is that you have to be careful when trying to change ports through the bluetooth settings (widdcomm) as sometimes it tends to stop responding in the scanner programs i would keep it on the same port it automatically installs on and hope that the program your using has that port within its range from which you can choose.
You can however uninstall then reinstall to try and get it to install on another port instead of trying to change through settings because of problem mentioned above hopefully a port you can connect to within your scanner program. if you still can't
get it to connect to the port you want search google for 'clear com ports' for windows 7 or whatever os your using then follow the instructions you find then uninstall and reinstall it. This should allow it to choose a lower port number.
once installed on your desired port however works well.
Oh and by the way fyi it works with the fiat punto mk2 (2000 plate) and fiatecuscan.

5.0 out of 5 stars Scanner 9 Mar 2012
Having had problems with our cars I stumbled across some diagnostic software called "Torque" that was highly rated. With further research it appeared this gizmo was compatible but it was noted the build quality was hit and miss. Not costing the earth I ordered it, didn't bother with the included software (which is riddled with Trojans - it does come from China). Paired it via bluetooth to my Android Phone (HTC Desire S) and Voila. Best investment I have made in years.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great little scanner 17 April 2012

This was very cheap, and very quick delivery. It works perfectly in a Jaguar 4.0 litre S type, which is why I bought it. It also works perfectly in a Mazda 6 Diesel, so it's not limited to only the cars it states. I went for this as Scanners in Jaguars are notorious for their non-functioning, I have a bespoke scanner costing over £50 that does nothing with the Jaguar in spite of being sold for exactly that car! I use this with an Android App 'Torque' which works incredibly well with this scanner via Bluetooth to a Lenovo A1 tablet (also from Amazon). I am very pleased, recommend it. (if it works with your vehicle!)

4.0 out of 5 stars Works but may require some tweaking 20 May 2012

This is exactly what it says on the tin, apart from the fact that it fails to meet the OBDII standard....

This may not be a problem on many cars but if you are buying for use on a Fiat you are going to have to pick the case open and destroy one of the 100 Ohm resistors, I think its R4 but don't quote me on that! There is plenty of information on the Fiat ECUScan site about it and its a 2 minute job.

Once this was done the unit worked fine. Its cheap, it works, what more can you ask!

5.0 out of 5 stars It works a treat 29 Jan 2012
Bought this to work with my Motorola Atrix in my Citroën C1 and it works a treat with the Torque App from the Android Market. Cannot fault it as it's been sitting in the OBD socket now for a couple of months without issue.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works well but Android app says its a Clone 17 Jun 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase
The device works well on my Ford Mondeo and My Wife's Ford Focus, but Android app (Torque Pro) warns me that it is a Cloned device and may not perform all functions or have jitter on readings.

Not sure if that matters as it does what I bought it for.

What a brilliant little device, I had the dreaded light on the dashboard reporting a possible fault, I bought the Bluetooth USB cable plugged it into my tablet (I downloaded a app called Torque first) set up the settings which was very simple and up came the fault code which was a faulty spark plug, replaced the spark plug removed the code and rechecked no codes stored BRILLIANT. I rang a garage they wanted £20 just to read the fault codes, so its paid for itself 1st time out, and I have the device at hand if problems occur in the future.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good litle gizmo 24 April 2012

After quick test works well with Vauxhall Corsa (2002, 1.2), no issues with connection (so far), Bluetooth connected easily (code 1234), tested on Motorola Defy with Torque Lite, some information from ECU unavaiable but it may be related to Vauxhall specific data.
Haven't tested with laptop and any software yet but hope that will works well too.

1.0 out of 5 stars not a genuine ELM327 chip
This interface uses a pic clone, not a genuine elm327 chip, despite the case clearly showing "elm327".
Beware - does not work for my BMW E39 M5.
