Can I set the scanning facility from a MacPro? I could only scan directly from the printer.

Yes you can (tested on Mavericks). "System Preferences" > "Printers & Scanners" > "Epson WF-3520" > "Scan" > "Open Scanner...".

Hi Kushum, I'm afraid I cannot help you I purchased the printer for my Son and he does not have a MacPro and did not have this problem, before I purchased the printer I confirmed with him about this because of the problems other purchasers had with their MacPro's.
