Would this router work with a Belkin F5D8633 as the modem? Would this work by connecting them via ethernet cable? Thanks

Hi

I would recommend you log into the setup/network page for the router and find if it has a modem only function. Check that first before you go any further. You would need to check this first.

If it does I would say it would. As I use mine with the modem/router from virgin in modem mode only. Which I believe has netgear internals.

Hope this helps.

There isn't much reason why it shouldn't. You may want to ensure you disable the Belkins security & wireless as the Asus will have its own and running both will likely slow your overall speed.
