Quick and easy
If you want an SSD HDD but were put off by the price or the prospect of reinstalling all your applications, don't be. If you can open your pc, operate a screwdriver and identify a few cables and have about an hour to spare, then do this. My PC boots much faster, is much quieter and all my applications, including Photoshop CS4 load much more quickly than on my old drive,...

Poor SSD
Kingston sneakily named this drive SSDNowV to confuse it with SSDNow, the last letter is very important, as the V denotes the use of the JMicron controller which is the worst performing controller on the market. This SSD exhibited the JMicron stuttering problem after only a few days use. Do not buy this SSD if you are after a high-performance SSD. I will never buy...

Quick and easy, 12 Nov 2009
This review is from: Kingston Technology 2.5 inch 128GB SSDNow V-Series SATA2 Drive with Desktop Bundle (Electronics)
If you want an SSD HDD but were put off by the price or the prospect of reinstalling all your applications, don't be. If you can open your pc, operate a screwdriver and identify a few cables and have about an hour to spare, then do this. My PC boots much faster, is much quieter and all my applications, including Photoshop CS4 load much more quickly than on my old drive, which was a conventional Sata drive. Have I said how quiet is is??

great product, 27 Dec 2009
This review is from: Kingston Technology 2.5 inch 128GB SSDNow V-Series SATA2 Drive with Desktop Bundle (Electronics)
bought this as a replacement drive and it hasnt been a disappointment as it is quicker than the WD160mb that it replaces, vista loads up faster and the programs open up instantly,i cannot find a single bad thing to say about this product, everything comes in the box that is needed to fit it and the cloning software worked a treat, cloning everything that was on my old drive without any problems at all,oh and did i mention the 3 year warranty, all in all a great product and a fair bit cheaper than the other manufacturers, would recommend this product

Solid State Drive Spectacular!, 28 Jan 2010
I ordered the Kingston SSDNow drive and easily upgraded my home PC following the simple instructions. Cloning my existing hard disc was easy and as I keep an orderly ship the 34GB of operating system and programmes were transferred in less than 8 minutes. I was up and running in 10 minutes. I use Windows 7 and everything is faster - start up, anti-virus scans, programming. I use a portable drive to store my Outlook PST files and Outlook operates easily and much faster. I also use ArchiCAD and again the speed of the SSD was a real boon to my 3D modelling. For info my stystem is a home built quad core processor, 4GB memory, 1GB HDMI graphics card. My PC now starts faster than an Apple and is laughingly more powerful than a G4 costing 2, 3, 4 or even 5 times the price.

Kingston SSD 64Gb, 7 April 2010
Does what it says on the tin. A budget SDD. On reflection paying a £100+ for 64Gb compared to getting 2Tb if I bought SATA may not have been the best move but it has made my PC much quieter and it does load windows faster which was the main reason to switch to SSD in the first place.
I wont be buying any more until the prices come right down and the capacity goes up but this was worth a punt to see what all the SSD fuss was about.

Great disk poor mounting kit, 18 Feb 2010
This review is from: Kingston Technology 2.5 inch 128GB SSDNow V-Series SATA2 Drive with Desktop Bundle (Electronics)
The disk itself performs brilliantly, the start up of my machine is very quick and the zero noise generation is very welcome too.
The instalation instructions provided are not the best, completely focused on transferring an o/s from an exisitng disk. However, the disk was recognised as one would expect and I had no trouble doing a fresh install of windows 7 on to the disk.
Main critisism is the mounting kit to fit this 2.5in disk in a 3.5 bay. My macine has an Antec Sonata case with removable disk trays and the mount kit simply didn't fit, even after havig taken an angle gringer to the mounts, they are only a push fit in to the disk tray non of the screws align.
