Good gadget
Had this mouse for a week now and I've tried it out on 2 laptops (both Windows XP) and an iMac 10.x and it's worked flawlessly. Amazingly it worked on the iMac instantly, no waiting for drivers to be found like XP.
The only thing stopping me giving it 5 stars is the click wheel feels and sounds a little lightweight. I was hoping it might be like my Microsoft...

Logitech V450 mouse
Generally good except that you have to remove the back cover to take out & return USB receiver (rx has to be plugged back in to the mouse to power down). This is a bit inconvenient - it would have been better to have an external socket on the mouse for the RX

Good gadget, 4 Feb 2009
This review is from: Logitech V450 Nano Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks (Black) (Electronics)
I was hoping it might be like my Microsoft mouse which is totally silent.
Supplied with Duracell batteries and not some awful cheapos you get with other products.
An unexpected bonus, not mentioned by other reviewers, is the USB extension kit. It's about 5 feet long so, if your desktop machine is under your desk, where the reception may be weak, you can plug the receiver in and have it on the desk. You wont need this if you have a laptop.
You download the drivers from the Logitech website. I haven't bothered so far for 2 reasons - 1) It does everything I need without the driver. 2) The drivers are 60Mb.
Another bonus, for me, is the tracking device doesn't glow red like most laser mice so there's no distracting red glow.
Good size - good mouse - recommended.

Best buy in a while, 12 Dec 2008
This review is from: Logitech V450 Nano Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks (Black) (Electronics)
If like me you don,t like the touch pads on laptops then this is a must buy.
I bought an Acer aspire one web book which is very small and portable.
I was browsing the net for a mouse as i don't like touchpads on laptops and saw this wee beauty.
It is a laser mouse which will work on almost any flat surface and has a micro reciever which only sticks out from your laptop by a couple of centimetres.
I knew if i had bought one with a long reciever i would keep banging it and would break it.
Once the usb reciever is attached you can just leave in place and you barely know it's there.
After use all you do is press the button on the bottom of the mouse to switch off.
If you want to remove the reciever after use all you do is store it in a compartment inside the mouse.
When you place the reciever in it,s compartment inside the mouse it automatically switches the mouse off.
This comes with 2 Duracell batterys which last a year.
if you have paid a few hundred pounds at least for your laptop then this is a very small and good price to pay for a quality product.
My best buy in a long time.

Really comfortable and responsive, 11 Jan 2009
This review is from: Logitech V450 Nano Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks (Black) (Electronics)
I've had this for four months now and I am very satisfied with it. Unlike some notebook mice, it has properly-made left and right buttons (those on my previous mouse moved like poorly made clockwork) and it doesn't have the annoying distraction of a USB receiver flashing for every transfer of data. (It is beyond me why some mice are designed like that). The movement is swift and reliable.

Brilliant piece of kit, 21 Jun 2009
This review is from: Logitech V450 Nano Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks (Black) (Electronics)
Absolutely recommended. I wanted a remote control for playing dvds on my pc but all the reviews for pc remotes seemed to suggest they had some issues so I bought this wireless mouse instead. It was the perfect size (approx. 10cm long x 4cm high) and the receiver is literally thumbnail size. As other people have pointed out there are no annoying flashing lights on it and it comes with a handy extension cord (approx. 1.5m) for your desktop. The pick up on surfaces is superb and works very well on duvet as well as desktop! Due to the tiny receiver it is also a great buy for my laptop. Super easy installation...genuine plug and play to XP and Vista.

Logitech V450 Nano Cordless Laser Mouse - Black, 8 Jun 2009
This review is from: Logitech V450 Nano Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks (Black) (Electronics)
Very pleased with the fast delivery and the quality of the product. It is smaller than I thought but I am used to an older, bigger mouse. The scroll button also has the useful horizontal movement action, which is a added bonus. The best part is the almost invisible 'dongle' which is as small as a Pound coin. I plugged it in and was able to use it about 20 seconds later, my computer loaded up all the necessary drivers very quickly. The only problem I had with it was the that I had to change the movement speed of the cursor because with one touch of the mouse, it went from one side of the screen to the other. It is easy enough to do, go to 'Start > Control Panel > Mouse > Pointer Options' and then choose your speed.
Very happy with this purchase.

Logitech Nano Laser Mouse-Cordless, 26 Feb 2009
This review is from: Logitech V450 Nano Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks (Black) (Electronics)
Just bought a new laptop, felt the need for a mouse for static use at home.
This is small and compact but fast and easy. The receiver is so small that you cannot see it in its USB port. Can't recommend it enough.
Delivery service from Amazon also excellent and fast.

Excellent little portable mouse, 20 May 2009
This review is from: Logitech V450 Nano Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks (Black) (Electronics)
After much hesitation in selecting from a compact mouse for my Dell 13" laptop, from the dozens of makes and models out there, I decided on this Nano cordless.
from the outset the mouse was a dream to set up and use. plugging in the mini 'nano receiver', and it installed itself on Vista Home 64bit without any drivers. the supplied batteries go into a cover on the underside of the mouse, and there is a tiny recessed button on the underside to turn the mouse on and off. Pressing the button with a fingernail turns the mouse on, and a green light on the underside and on the top of the mouse itself indicates that the mouse is on and has 'made a connection'.
the mouse is active within a second or so once turned on, and is the most responsive wireless mouse i have used so far.
Im not 100% sure when the mouse goes to sleep when not used for a certain period of time, as the documentation seems not to define this, but it does seem to go into standby eventually if you forget to turn off the mouse manually.
battery life is quoted as 12 months with the 2 AA's supplied, though the receiver obviously requires no power and is so small it can in most cases be left in the laptop all of the time.
the mouse is very precise to control, easily up to portable graphic design work and gaming, with the button and scroll wheel smooth and positive.
and whats more, its quite a sophisticated shade of black! (with fine red trip around the side thumb rests)
also available in Silver and Red

Perfect MOuse for good money, 25 Feb 2009
This review is from: Logitech V450 Nano Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks (Black) (Electronics)
I bought this beauty around a month ago and I am very happy with it. Easy to set up and the NANO receiver GOSH, you cannot say it's plugged in, it's the smallest I've seen. Most of my friends say WOW when they see it
It is perfect for surfing the net and...you know the usual stuff.
I tried it on Counter Strike and its not the best but it's much better than the optical one I had before, if you'd like something better for gaming you should go for some of the G or MX gaming series mice, but for casual gaming it's fine.
The batteries (DURACELL suplied) so far are fine, it showed 450 days life left when I bought it, now shows 390 which makes around 7 months of use, but I leave the mouse ON all the time, so if you turn it off when you don't use it, you might be able to squeeze more battery life.
You can use it everywhere, except on glass or very glossy surfaces, it will respond better if you get a pad, I don't need one as I use the mouse either on the ground or when I'm in my bed.
It is neither big nor small, somewhere in the middle.
I don't know what more to say, in my opinion, if you need a good laptop mouse this is your mouse.

Superb piece of kit, 25 April 2010
This review is from: Logitech V450 Nano Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks (Black) (Electronics)
A tiny USB reciever ensures that the USB adapter doesnt get knocked about.
The mouse itself is ergonomically designed and despite being small, it is easy to hold and handle.
The on off switch ensures a long battery life.
Intsantaneous recognition as soon as the 'on-off' button is switched on.
I have not come across a computer or OS where this mouse was not instantaneously recognised.
I carry it everywhere with me and must have dropped it on the floor at least a couple of dozen times and it is still intact.
The range is superb : you can sit on the sofa and operate the mouse connected to a computer a long way away.
My only criticism:If you want to store the USB adapter inside the mouse itself, you have to open the mouse. They could have allowed the USB adapter to be slotted from outside rather than having to open the top of the mouse. However, it is easily done and hence is not a problem at all.

This review is from: Logitech V450 Nano Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks (Black) (Electronics)
I have had it for over a month now and I am simply over the moon with it. It works well on any surface, I even tried it on my forehead. it looks realy stylish, seems a bit heavy (but it is a matter of getting used to it-I have now), there is no annoying laser beam so u will not blind anybody in the vicinity. comes with duracell batteries-nice. i would recommend it anyone.
