5.0 out of 5 stars JG from Moray
We have had one of these for years and this was bought as a gift for my son. If you like to watch the wild birds feed close at hand, this is for you.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not really fit for purpose, 30 Jan 2009
This review is from: Window Bird Feeder (Garden & Outdoors)
This window bird feeder from Gradman seemed like a good idea for an old lady whose attempts to feed biords by her window had been spoiled by crows and squirrels. It is made from folded ABS (I think) and is rather too brittle for the remodelled cardboard box and postage and subsequent planned use. Ours arrived with small stress cracks in it which will reduce its useful life. When we stuck it on to the window with the suction pads, it soon fell off (this might have been the warming effect of outside temperature) and fell on to a hard surface which caused a bit to break off. We left it with her but I imagine it wil be smashed within a day or two without having brought much joy to her or the birds. Unless you can find a sunless spot with a soft landing underneath and are happy to take the risk of having to clean up the spilled seed regularly, this is a 'don't buy'.

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb little window feeder!, 13 Feb 2009
This review is from: Window Bird Feeder (Garden & Outdoors)
Stick this on the window with the easy to use suckers. Obviously make sure it sticks first with common sense! (clean both surfaces and dampen the suckers slightly first).
Nonesense about double glazing, as if that makes any difference! My'n stuck fast for months. If it does fall then it might break easily as it is fairly brittle plastic.
You will need to be patient as the birds will be nervous at first. Make sure there is not too much movement in the room where the feeder is placed.
My bluetits particularly like the mixed seed especially sunflower seeds.
Robins also come and have a feast.
I have a host of other feeders in the garden so probably helps having alot of birds in the garden to get used to it.
I placed it close to the bush so they can skip in and out quick to help them if they are a little scared.
I am very happy and can watch them feeding from my armchair :-)

5.0 out of 5 stars Endless pleasure, 9 July 2009
This review is from: Window Bird Feeder (Garden & Outdoors)
I bought this product, not from Amazon, two or three years ago for my armchair bound 90 year old mother.
She has had endless endless total joyful pleasure from it. As time goes on more and more birds use it. Even big ones try to get in and learn the technique (they're the ones that bring it down occasionally as it really is only big enough for robins and finches etc). She even hears the birds pecking. Her carers have it as part of their job that they put out food for the birds.
Yes it does fall off sometimes, and yes some seed falls out, but that happens to all feeders.
Have patience. Birds take time to get used to this. It took a season. Maybe it also it helps that my mother's garden itself is quiet and overgrown. I am now going to buy a replacement, just in case, but the old one is not broken yet and it has had constant use!
One bird even took to stationing its baby in it this year to be fed!
Hope this helps.

Nice looking product. Easy to fix and very stable. Unfortunayely the birds do not like it. I have a similar product made completely in perspex and it is well used. I wonder if the base is too shallow and they feel insecure anyway I will persevere and move it around.

3.0 out of 5 stars what you pay for, 26 May 2010
This review is from: Window Bird Feeder (Garden & Outdoors)
This product matches the price. I like the style of it, but we had a lot of difficulty getting it to stick to the window at first and when it fell off on one of these occasions it cracked the plastic which was a shame.

This review is from: Window Bird Feeder (Garden & Outdoors)
I bought this item as a present, they were very pleased with it, perfect for bird lovers without much of a garden. Delivered quickly and fairly priced.

Thanks

4.0 out of 5 stars Does what it says on the tin, 6 Nov 2009
This review is from: Window Bird Feeder (Garden & Outdoors)
At less than a fiver, these are a great little item. If you want sturdy - spend more money and buy a more expensive one, but we have been using ours for ages and enjoy watching robins, blue tits, coal tits, great tits, sparrows and even our resident nut hatch feeding. My only gripe is that the wooden perch keeps slipping out on one side as the birds dislodge it on take off/landing, but hubby is going to put a rubber washer round it. My mum had one but the birds didn't use it - however, this was down to her location rather than the feeder! Ours gets great usage and I have to top it up twice a day. They soon get used to seeing you watching them and I can stand at the sink without disturbing them. It took less than a day for our first customer!

Bird feeder in place, but no birds seem willing to come anywhere near the house, so no visitors yet. The weeks go by.... First feeder delivered broken, but a replacement sent out very promptly, so good customer service.
