Awesome book of knits,
This review is from: The Ultimate Book of Baby Knits (Paperback)
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
I love to knit and crochet so this book sounded like an excellent resource for me, and it turned out to be so much more than I expected.
Starting out with a wonderfully extensive beginners guide to knitting techinques and how to read patterns in simple and easy to follow steps this book sets you up with everything you need to move on to the projects within.
And how many projects are there? I didn't count them all but there are LOADS!!! and they cover a wide range of projects from simple baby balnkets and covers to really beautiful and intricate clothing.
The only thing I will say is that even though the tutorials in the early stages of the book are good, the patterns that follow are not really suitable for complete beginners or novices. As an experienced kniter, I'd say these patterns are for confident / expert kniters.
Other than that one little snag, I'd say this is the best pattern book ever ever own.

I agree with you over the skill level required. This books is not just for flipping through it is a text book for creating the 50 items and as such in part it falls down. Too faint a print, tricky techniques slipped into what looks deceptively easy, but of course overall still a pleasure to own.
