fantastic sat nav,
I bought one of these last week after comparing all the usual makes. This one comes with so much more on board than I will ever use such as photo viewer, movie and music player, hands free phoning, radio etc
I just wanted an easy to use gps with good voice choice and larger clear screen.
Then theres the price , this is at least half the price of a tom tom which I am familiar with as my son has one.
This comes from China and is unbranded but came in a nice box with lots of extras such as a sunshade, soft bag, gadget to fix it to your air outlet as well as the suction cup type. It seems solid and well built and nicely designed.
the manual that came with it doesnt go into much detail, but i had fun practising and finding out how to use it before i got it in the car. It does a great fly to animation of your journey.
The English voices that come with it are UK, aussie and US English accents, and lots more to choose from too, male and female.
It comes ready loaded with the latest all of Europe and UK, igo and a password so that you can upload new maps for free for ever. As its windows based I was advised to go for the bluetooth model as I use Apple mac and was only a couple of pounds extra. The points of interest are good as are the speed warnings and limits, the lane changing with overhead gantry motorway signs, cameras and fuel stations, I couldnt ask for anything more. Just the job.

I was in your position too, not ever having one before, I just played around with it. tirn it on and wait for it to load. press settings, then go through them, choosing what you want, it remembers for next time. ticked means its chosen. use arrow keys at the bottom left or right to go backwards and forwards. drag the sound bar up for volume.
to load a route press the find box , then find address, tap as per instructions, a keyboard comes up where you can type the postcode etc. then press top right-set as destination, go back to the map, put in your car and off you go. just play around with it indoors first to find your way round, you can go back by pressing menu. it has a great fly over mode etc. havnt tried movies or music or anything yet. it took me a while to find the voices, on the sound settings make sure the volumes are up, it gives you examples to choose from. When on thew setting page, make sure you tap the bottom right arrow, it brings up more features. Hope that helps. ask again if your stuck.

I want to buy a satnav & this one looks ideal but only two reviews, both very positive. I would be very interested to know if you are still delighted with it when you have used it for a longer period of time. There is no rush as far as I´m concerned. Many thanks in antisipation

Well, i am still using it and so far am still pleased with it, I only use the basic functions but it hasnt let me down yet, appreciate the sun shade on it, and the voice on it is nice and loud and clear.

Its a black matching plastic frame that fits around it, sticking out more at the top to shade from the sun and so you can see the screen clearer, came with it.
