This review is from: 1000 Years of Annoying the French (Paperback)
I lack the grammatical skills and vocabulary to do justice to this magnificent work.
But allow me to say its painstakingly researched and meticulous in detail.
Its funny to the point of laugh out loud, embarrassing on the train, and informative to the point you wonder what your history teacher was actually doing all those years.
Mr Clarke has produced a truly great book and a splendid read. Some may label it xenophobic but his love of French culture oozes through every page. He is a true Francophile and a bridge between Anglo and Gallic minds.
His attention to detail is exact but not overwhelming. His humour is side-splitting but does not drown out the education. A perfect book in my opinion.
Please buy this and enjoy his style and intellect.
