An air of quiet efficiency and a feel of quality,

This review is from: GBC WireBind W18 Wire Binder with Document Separating Feature (Bind Capacity up to 125 Sheets, Punch Capacity up to 15 Sheets) (Office Product)
Built like it was intended to withstand the end of the world as we know it, and not cheap, but what a machine! Quiet efficiency in wire-binding. Somewhere to put the document to be bound. A nice punching mechanism which pulls all the punch-pins out of the way when you raise the lever, so your next batch of papers slot nicely into place. Somewhere to stack up the document as you punch it. Somewhere to accomplish the ticklish task of persuading the wire loops through the holes, usually without any trouble at all. Finally, somewhere to crimp up the wire comb. I have just bound up around a ream of paper into seventeen documents and I haven't had even one sheet badly punched and needing a re-print. Productivity is soaring since I replaced my old nightmare with this fine machine. If I could find anything to moan about, it would be that it's quite easy to pull the crimping lever too hard and slightly over-crimp the wire comb. Time to learn a gentler touch! Machine comes fully assembled; just take it out of the box, lose the two polystyrene packing pieces, and get to work. Has adjustable paper guide so you can make a tidy job of binding sheets smaller than A4 as long as you have some nice sharp little wire cutters to shorten the wire combs. Coped well with a document of around 130 sheets, which is quite near to its maximum 150 sheet capacity. Also coped well with a laminated front cover, five sheets of paper and a light card back cover, about the thinnest thing you'd ever bother to bind. If I had to equip another office, I would get another one of these.
