What about the zoom,
This review is from: Panasonic DMC-FS40EB-A Blue 14 Megapixal Camera with F2.5 LEICA Lens and 5x Optical Zoom (Electronics)This is a good camera, but I do feel a bit let down by the limitations of the zoom.
IE when taking photos, digital zoom is only available in "intelligent auto mode", meaning that the full 10 times zoom isn't possible in manual or scene mode. Also, when making a video you have to do all the zooming before you start filming, and this time you are limited to digital zoom only.
Incidentally, I bought this at Argos who exclude it from their money back guarantee.

I queried this with Argos as to why. Reason, a small number of people buy cameras to take photos at weddings or on holiday then take them back demanding their money is returned!! Because of this, we all suffer!!

Thank you for this. I have been trying to work out how to zoom when making a video, the pdf instructions did not make this clear at all and when I started filming it was impossible to zoom. Bit of a bother though not being able to zoom in or out while filming.
