'warming'-does exactly what it says on the tin!,
This review is from: Warming the Stone Child: Myths and Stories About Abandonment and the Unmothered Child (Audio CD)
This audio CD was so right for me, I savoured the 2 discs over several days.Clarissa has a lovely soothing voice which immediately warmed me to her, and I could even hear her swallowing and taking breaths on the CD, which made her more tangible to me. Clarissa defined what an unmothered child might be, perhaps the abused child, the abandoned child-including emotional abandonment. Those children who have introjected harmful beliefs about themselves. Clarissa encourages the listener to parent themselves in loving ways, and not rely on those around us to fulfil all our hearts longings, because as we may wish, others can't provide all our needs. The message is, abandoned children need to become stonger in themselves. Clarissa uses helpful stories told in alluring ways, these drew me in. I have begun to expand my mindset about acknowleding what has happened in my life as a child, and becoming my own resource to care for soul. I have become more aware of putting good things in my life which can help me achieve this. This CD is one of those good resources that help meet my deep soul needs.
