Impressive Looking Tome,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Shakespeare's Local: Six Centuries of History Seen Through One Extraordinary Pub (Hardcover)
I haven't started this book yet - it only arrived a few hours ago - just wanted to state that this is a really attractively designed book. The silver and blue embossed sleeve does the author proud, as do the inner covers and the use of maps and photographs. I debated about holding off for the paperback edition, but glad that I chose to buy early and get the hardback.
I'm sure the writing is up to the standard of Pete's previous books and will prove an enjoyable read to anyone who enjoys a pint and knowing a bit about the history of beer and drinking. This would make a great present for the beer fan in your life...
Can I have a pint now Pete?

What point is a five star review if you haven't read the book?
