Margaret Drabble's review,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Lighthouse, The (SALT MODERN FICTION) (Paperback)
Where is Margaret Drabble's review published? All of the other reviews and comments reference where the review is published. The review by Margaret Drabble is the only one that isn't. Margaret Drabble has written extensively about Virginia Woolf's novel, "To the Lighthouse". I hope no-one's muddled that up with Alison Moore's book.

Mr. N. J. Royle says:
Margaret Drabble's quote is not from a review, but is a quote she kindly provided in advance of publication after agreeing to read the manuscript with a view precisely to giving the publishers a quote for the book jacket. This is normal practice. Very few novels are published without such quotes being sought by the publisher. In the business they are often known as 'blurbs' or 'puffs'.
