This review is from: Homescapes - 100% Recycled Cotton Chindi Rug - 70 x 120 cm - Multi Coloured Stripes on White Base
I purchased four of these rugs in different sizes and knew the type of thing I was getting, cheap and cheerful but good value. I have had similar rugs before which were fine but not purchased online. Everything was fine until two weeks later when I rolled the runners back for a good hoover up only to find lines of bright colour on the carpet underneath! When I checked all the others the same thing. The bright dyes had transferred with people walking over them as the fabric is in strips sewn together. Nothing to do but take them all up and not sure what to use them for now which is a shame and I have to have the rugs and carpet that are stained professionally cleaned. Perhaps I should have forseen this but never had a problem with ones purchased in the past from High St. stores. So if you are putting them on a tiled type floor then great but just beware.

Wouldn't an anti slip underlying help to protect the floor?

Thanks for your comment but in this case I don't think so due to the nature of the rugs. They are not 'rigid' like conventional rugs & as I purchased 3 long runners + 1 very large rug the cost of underlay would make it easier to purchase more conventional rugs. Have now put them on old tiled floor in spare room where they look quite good and nothing underneath to discolour!
