This review is from: Improve Your Chess in 7 Days (Paperback)Can you improve in 7 days? I would say yes and on the way you smile at the comments or admire the numerous chess cartoons. This is for players who are keen to become better or someone who hasn't taken the game too seriously in the past.
The book is predictably divided into 7 chapters to focus on a different area of your game every day. With my record the one about Avoiding Blunders is currently proving useful. I would say it is a very handy book for anyone rated up to 175 which is I think is a 2000 elo. It makes it intersting to improve your game and the tips and suggestions are things that I have never really thought about before. The endgame section is a tiny bit serious but the 5 rules about rook endings make life easier.
If you want to improve by reading the occasional chapter and have a sense of humour then this is the book for you.
