Thirsty for more...,
This review is from: Live at Stubb's (Audio CD)
I first heard 'King Without a Crown' in the early hours on Radio 1. My ears pricked up and I was eager to hear more... finally a sound that is refreshing and gives me hope that an artist is challenging modern music and not churning out the same mainstream rubbish.
Being a young Jew myself it is also welcoming to hear a fellow Jew express his faith through music. Not only is his voice extremely rich and strong, he manages to emphasise his vocals through the lyrics, which for some may be hard to distinguish. He is basically declaring his faith and love of G-d.
I'm not an avid listener of Reggae, although don't get me wrong I think it pushes new boundaries of Reggae and other music genres in general. But I am person with varied and electic taste in music and I know I can't wait to hear more from Matisyahu.
