This is a story about a quiet resort and the young woman who is there when a dead body is discovered.
At one level, that is all there is to it, but it could not be further from the truth about the story.
An excellently observed story with a lyrical style of writing at times, you really understand the characters and care how things progress.
Perhaps more a book to appeal to women, but the reality is that most people would enjoy the shape of the story and the lovely writing and developments (this is one of those books where saying much would leak the plot, so no spoilers from me!).
I loved it, my wife loved it (and we don't often agree on books) so that says something.
Well worth a leisurely read to savour this one.
