Great book, terrible edition,

This review is from: The Mystical Qabalah (Perfect Paperback)
This is a wonderful classic of hermetic qabalah, a must for anyone interested in magick. Dion Fortune was a great mystical and magickal writer and teacher, inspiring to this day. But this edition, published by the Fraternity Sanctum Regnum (FSR), is execrable, filled with typos and poor editing generally, with tiny characters. The only thing it's good for is scribbling notes all over the margins, which Dion Fortune's thoughts certainly inspire me to do. My advice - get a decent edition of this book, although if this is all you can find (as was my case at the time), then better a poor edition than having to do without the book altogether.

I returned my copy by Aziloth Books in February 2014 as the typos where unbelievably bad and spoilt a classic book. Everyone should return bad copies to get the message across to Publishers that shoddy editing is not acceptable. You did not have to be a professional proof reader to notice the typos either - any Publisher could have read the book and noticed the errors.

I agree! I wrote a similar review on Amazon.com (America). The only reason I keep this new edition is because of the new material in the back. For the main text I use one of my older editions. I still can't believe they turned 'Ein Soph Aur' into 'Or, Ein Soph'!
