Brit jazz classic,
This review is from: Edge Of Time (Audio CD)
This is one of those brilliant jazz -- or jazz-rock if you like -- releases that crept out of the British late 60s/early 70's scene to critical acclaim but relatively few sales. A large part of this was due to the fact that the record company, Decca/Argo, pressed up very few initial copies and never re-pressed. Even this CD reissue was a limited run on a Spanish label which now goes for very fancy prices. I've heard that the rights have now reverted back to Norma herself so it will be up to her if it surfaces again. In her sleevenote she suggests she was always a little lukewarm about its merits compared to her later works, but she's way too modest. It's one of the finest products of its genre or era.
