Where would you go to hide from life?,

This review is from: Daniel's Dream (Kindle Edition)This is a strange book, it does indeed start slowly, and you need to stick with it. However, this slow start does not detract from the book. Since the target for the `dream' is a slow, nothing ever happens island; it sets the pace for the full novel. It isn't a deep book but it made me think, where do we go in deep sleep, where do our minds go in coma situations, you would hope that it is a place of safety wouldn't you. It is a novel of guilt and relationships of fantasy and lost love, a girlie book maybe, but I enjoyed the slow warm sensual atmosphere of the island as I was reading this on a few cold days. The idea of being able to escape your life like this appeals to all of us, but can we, do we? Why is it when we wake after a dream we are never quite in one world or another, what does the mind do. The only problem I had with what is essentially a quick read book, is the concept of meeting others, at that point the book fell apart for me, everything after that point became silly. If you have a few hours to spare give it a go, more for the chance to explore your own thoughts on dreams rather than having a great read.
