Nice book, not sure about the advice,
This review is from: The Barefoot Beekeeper (Paperback)The 'Barefoot Beekeeper' would appeal to anyone brought up in the 70's to favour working with nature and organic farming. It describes a method of keeping bees which has been used successfully in Africa for ages and shows we also can use it to keep bees with less medicinal and manipulative intervention, and incidentally, less cost. The author writes well and persuasively and is an experienced beekeeper so he knows what he is talking about.
What I'm not so sure about is if the methods he describes will actually work as well in the face of invasive new diseases and in the temperate, northern climate of Britain as they do in with agressive bees in the tropics.
