Plot Synopsis.
Thanks to the cult of the Eightfold Truth planet earth is now covered with Metebelis Crystals with the Eight Legs now poised to take complete control of the planet earth.

The Eighth Doctor needs to retrieve the stellar manipulator last seen on Orbis which was stolen by The Headhunter if he is to have any chance of stopping the Eight Legs from invading earth, Meanwhile Lucie Miller is under the mind control of The Great One the Eight Legs leader.

Is Lucies will strong enough to break free from the Great One's control of her & can the Doctor locate The Headhunter & retrieve the stellar manipulator in time to save planet earth from the Great One's hoard of mutated spiders or will earth be trapped forever in a tangled worldwide web?

Timelord Thoughts.
This is a superb conclusion to The Eight Truths & a great story to end series 3 of The Eight Doctor Audio Adventures on as writer Eddie Robson has once again weaved his magic web & delivered a tense chilling adventure that allows the story to breath for some great moments of character drama to shine through.

Paul McGann once again showcases what a excellent Doctor he is as he battles to save earth against the Eight Legs who has help from a couple of unlikely allies while Sheridan Smith gives a outstanding performance as she fights to regain her soul that is slowly being taken over by The Great One.

Not everyone survives to the end of this story as Doctor Who shows on audio at least that nobody is safe from death as this certainly adds to the drama of the story knowing nobody is safe & that anybody can die.

Superb production values, Amazing sound effects & a eerily score make The Eight Truths/ Worldwide Web one of the Eight Doctors most exciting entertaining audio adventures to date.

Timelord Rating.
9/10

Great story; those Metebelis Crystals again! Goodness me, those eight-legs fighting the two-legs, when will it end?
Great review, timelord007; nice to be reminded of these stories, which I need to listen to again.

This sounds like a really good Doctor Who story. I'd like to get round to buying both CDs sometime.
You avoiding revealing spoilers on who dies in this one. I hope it isn't Lucie!
I like to crawl on walls like Spider-Man, but I don't think being posessed by spiders on your back with blue saphire crystals will be very nice.
Fantastic review, timelord. Tim.
