This review is from: Best Glam Rock Album Ever (Audio CD)
Whilst this is a fair compilation classing it as the 'best ever' is considered to be mis-representation! Where is Gary Glitter (regardless of what he has allegedly done. Wiping him out of history is churlish), The Bay City Rollers and probably Mungo Jerry (Alright, Alright, Alright), Sailor (Glass Of Champagne) and last but not least Cockney Rebel (Judy Teen) plus New York Dolls (Looking For A Kiss)? I'll stop now as the list is exhaustive, but you get the idea. With just a little thought this really could have been what it says on the tin. One bright note though - Eno (Seven Deadly Finns) is included, surely this is a long lost and forgotten gem? This whole series of best ever compilation CD's feel as if they have been shoddily put together by people who did not have a clue? 'The Best Punk Anthems Ever' is another example! I did warn you.....

Thanks for the comment... Won't be buying it. No Gary Glitter then forget it. His private life is not the audio memory of my childhood in the 70's, his music is. Get over the BS and put his music in with a so called 'best glam rock album ever'. Sorry, don't think so...

Seemingly like you I fail to understand why this man can be ingnored from 'Glam' music, especially when calling it the best ever! Try 'Glam Mania'.

Gonna go straight to his own albums 'Glitter' & 'Touch me' from earlier days. That'll suffice. Had them all ofcourse on vinyl. Many thanks though, rock on my friend. :)
