This review is from: iGadgitz Black EVA Hard Case Cover for 2.5" USB Portable External Hard Drives (Case Internal Dimensions: 11.3cm x 8.3cm x 1.8cm) (Electronics)
I suspect this case will provide plenty of impact protection for my WD 320GB Passport HD as there appear to be very tick layers of foam in the two sides. This is compounded by the unnecessary embossed design on one side.
This all makes the case really quite bulky. For such a tiny drive, the case is about 1.25" longer, 1" wider and nearly 3 times as thick as the drive itself. (That's about 4.5 times bigger than the drive.)
Add to that, it will only just close when you put the drive and the unusually short USB cable (supplied with the drive) into the case, and only if the cable is completely flat and doesn't overlap itself at all.
I'm not quite sure why there is a handbag style wrist strap either, let alone a loop for attaching the supplied mini carabiner: I've never seen anyone carrying a hard drive from their wrist or clipped to their belt. But maybe that's just me.
Pros : Probably more than enough impact protection. (That's why I'm not giving it 1 star.) Cheap.
Cons : Too big externally, too small internally. Form over function.
