Decent for the money, but noise cancelling not great,
This review is from: 7dayshop AERO 7 Active Noise Cancelling Headphones with Aeroplane Kit and Travel Case (Electronics)
Having received these as a Christmas present partly on the back of some of the reviews here, I'd say for sound quality I'm happy but for noise cancellation I'm mildly disappointed although not surprised, as unless mine are faulty, the noise cancellation really doesn't compare favourably to £200+ sets as claimed in some other reviews.
The noise cancelling seems to focus on a small frequency range only, they're quite good at removing low frequency background drone from running electrical equipment and I'd imagine things like aircraft engine noise as others have confirmed, but what they aren't good at is cancelling out all noise frequencies. Switching cancelling on with music playing also seems to raise the volume slightly to overpower some background sound rather than actually cancelling it properly. Wearing in a busy office you can still hear people talking quite clearly with barely any difference between cancellation switched on or off, all that gets removed is some of the low frequencies so voices appear slightly less boomy. That contrasts sharply with a colleagues Bose QuietComfort 15s which I tested back to back, as well as cancelling the low frequencies even more effectively they also do a good job at cancelling voice and other higher frequency noise. At £250+ they certainly should be a lot better and I wouldn't consider spending that much so I'm still happy with these as a value for money option, but if you've tried an expensive set and are expecting that type of performance at a tenth of the price then you're likely to be disappointed.

I have to agree with this review, I'm disappointed the noise cancelling only seems to work on low freq. the sound of people talking around you is not really cancelled. I think I may return them.
As others have said, the fit and case etc are good, maybe I expected too much of these for the price. You do get what you pay for!

Thanks for focusing this review on exactly matters with this product - the cancelling. I think I'll take a raincheck on these then.
