Works well but difficult to set up,
This review is from: NETGEAR WN1000RP-100UKS Universal Wi-Fi Range Extender (Wi-Fi Booster) (Accessory)
Bought this as I live at one end of a large house and my Landlords router only gave me 30-50% signal strength.
what a palava setting it up, it would not connect using option 1 pressing the WPS button on the device and the BT homehub 3....obviously not compatible with each-other so I try option 2.....but it kept asking for a password!!!
After looking on the Netgear support page I found the answer, apparently some of these devices were not reset to factory settings so you need to insert a paperclip in the "reset to factory settings" hole on the bottom until the led turns red.
So if you are on BT
Plug the device in and do the reset to factory settings as explained above.
Connect your Pc/laptop using the connect/disconnect to a wireless network option (bottom right hand corner, double click on the little computer icon)comes up as NETGEAR_EXT
open up internet explorer and it runs through the set up. you will need your password for your wireless router.
then you connect a wireless device to it and you are off.
it will show up as BTHOMEHUBxxxxx_EXT where as your normal connection shows as BTHOMEHUBxxxxx and that's it, you connect to the _EXT one and put your original password in and voila.....
I tested mine on speedtest.net and had the same results as I got from the homehub direct so it doesn't always reduce the up/download speed as it says in the disclaimer.
I also game online with the PS3 with it and have no issues with that at all.
It would be a 5* rating if it wasn't for the fact that it took me two hours to set up due to not knowing the above and having to find it out after continuously trying the option 1 method.
Netgear really could include this as a small note in the pack as it seems to cause a lot of people grief.

Thank you Mr Inglis - I could not set up my extender until I followed your instructions. Works well now!
