Starts Off Well Then It's All Downhill,
This review is from: Mirror's Edge (PS3) (Video Game)
The originality of this game is what attracted me to it. I must say that it is a very good idea but it has been poorly executed.
Having now completed this game, I can honestly say that it's not an experience I wish repeat. The sheer frustration experienced while playing is something I have never felt before. The amazing amount of trial and error will leave you with a sense of relief rather than fulfillment when you finally nail what you have to do. There is no room for mistakes when playing Mirror's Edge. The combat is equally frustrating. Your character is amazingly vunerable to bullet hits and punches and you will die time and time again. I only completed this because I didn't want the game to beat me. Another frustration point is the controls. While the layout is easy they can be highly unresponsive. At some points, the jump button (L1) refused to work and only responded again when the game was paused and then un-paused. Same happened for the left stick. Faith sometimes would only walk and not run, pause and un-pause again. The game also crashes, forcing you to start the level again. If you enjoy heart attacks and hair loss, then buy this. If not, AVOID!!!
On a plus point, graphics were good.
