Screen is not robust,
This review is from: Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ40EB-R Compact Camera - Red (18.2MP, 20x Optical Zoom Leica DC Lens, Wi-Fi with NFC, Built in GPS, 24mm Wide Angle, 50P Full HD Video - AVCHD) 3 inch LCD (Camera)
While this camera worked it was great and I had no real complaints, however my opinion has changed after the screen cracked *twice* in the first 4 months of use. The first time this happened I put this down to bad luck; the camera had not been dropped or roughly treated (certainly no more so that any other camera I have owned) so maybe it was a manufacturing fault. Since it was still under warrenty, I had the screen replaced for free - only for the new screen to break again within a matter of weeks. Again, there was no rough treatment of the camera.
My opinion is that panasonic have had to cut corners to be able to fit such a large screen into such a small, light body. It seems that putting any pressue on the edges of the screen puts it at risk of breaking.
Again, maybe I have just been unlucky (I note that none of the other reviews mention this issue), however this has to be the most delicate camera I have ever used.
The two stars are to indicate that, when it works, the camera is good, but I certainly wouldn't recommend this camera to anybody else.
