I came very late to Chet Baker. i had never even heard of him until late 2008 after seeing his name crop up a bit one various itunes celebrity playlists and giving him a listen. The was the second album I brought, after 'The Best of Chet Baker Sings.' A very beautiful, tender, soft, androgynous voice, perfect for late night unwinding. I quickly bought up everything going, as I do. Check out the book 'Deep in a Dream: The Long Night of Chet Baker' by James Gavin, a great read and the Bruce Weber DVD 'Let's Get Lost.'
